Located in the heart of the Beaufort Historic District close to shopping and restaurants and just a few steps from the scenic yacht harbor, the Pecan Tree Inn Bed & Breakfast in Beaufort, NC, is known as the place for romantic couples and girlfriend’s getaways to stay when visiting the Carolina coast and southern Outer Banks. Each of our seven elegant guest rooms has a distinctive character. The two deluxe suites with king-size beds and two-person Jacuzzis are popular with honeymooners and romantics of all ages who could use a little pampering. All rooms have private baths and are handsomely furnished and decorated. Relax on one of our three breezy porches, or stroll through the vast flower and herb gardens. You might cross paths with Sam, our friendly squirrel, or catch sight of a songbird peering out from one of the many birdhouses.

Beaufort is alive year-round. The white sandy beaches of Cape Lookout, Shackleford Banks and Atlantic Beach are nearby. Historic Beaufort has well over 100 beautifully restored 18th and 19th century homes, the Old Burying Grounds, the North Carolina Maritime Museum and a growing collection of fine restaurants and shops. Our protected, deep-water harbor is a favorite port of call for yachts from around the world. You might say that Beaufort is Nantucket with a southern drawl. Beaufort is also a budding center of "ecotourism," with nature excursions by kayak, sail or power boat. The area offers some of the best bird watching in the state. Salt water fly fishers flock to town for the fall run of false albacore around Cape Lookout. There is no lovelier spot for taking a walk or a bike ride or just relaxing on one of our three porches or on the serene brick terrace by the fountain. Cap your day with a private tour of Old Beaufort by evening in Tony Russell's horse-drawn carriage.
