Intimate and Romantic ~ The 1900 Inn on Montford, an elegant AAA Four Diamond Asheville, North Carolina bed & breakfast inn, invites you to be our guest and discover bed and breakfast comfort and hospitality with a warmth and graciousness that is reminiscent of Biltmore’s Gilded Age. The Inn was designed in 1900 by Richard Sharp Smith, Supervising Architect for Biltmore House. Today it is elegantly furnished with English and American antiques dating from 1670 to 1910.

We welcome you to indulge your every romantic inclination. Solitude awaits in the privacy of one of our four elegant second-floor guestrooms. Zelda’s Retreat, our secluded five-room suite offers the penultimate in luxury. The entire 3rd floor - 1,000 sq. ft. - is yours! For the ultimate in luxury and privacy, Griffin Cottage, our new carriage house, with private gardens, luxurious whirlpools, fireplaces, and king beds, awaits you.

We serve a delicious three-course breakfast at 9 a.m. preceded by the arrival of coffee or tea to your room at 8 in the main inn. Guests in Griffin Cottage have breakfast delivered to their door at 9:30. Our breakfast consists of a fruit course, savory egg course and dessert course. For example, you might have a yogurt, raspberry, banana parfait topped with kiwi fruit as your fruit course, shirred eggs – American style, and for dessert – homemade caramel rolls. With advance notice, we are happy to accommodate all dietary restrictions.

Checkin begins at 3 pm until 8 pm. Call if a later arrival is required.
Check Out Policy:
Check out is at 11 am.
Cancellation Policy:
15 days (30 days in October). Refund less $25 per room night if cancelled prior to the cancellation date. Gift certificate for a future stay if we are able to rent the room.
Children: Children ages 1+
Children are allowed in Zelda's Retreat and Griffin Cottage. Check with us before booking.
Childcare: No
Deposit Policy:
One night's deposit for one or two night stays; 50% for longer stays. Remainder due on departure.
