Chestnut Street Inn, a 1905 grand Colonial Revival home located in the Chestnut Hill National Historic District, caters to those looking for an experience - not simply lodging. A casual and relaxed atmosphere wil help you feel right at home.

The large porches are a beautiful accent to the mellow old red brick of the exterior. Guests can relax with a good book, retreat to the jumbo rockers, or play table games with other guests. A 1/4-mile walk takes you downtown for antiquing, sightseeing, visiting art galleries, and fine dining. By car, the Biltmore Estate is 2 1/2 miles - - the Blue Ridge Parkway, Folk Art Center, hiking trails, fishing, boating, shopping malls, etc are all 15 minutes or less.

Visit us and see why we won the "1997 Griffin Award” winner for excellence in historic preservation, and were "Voted best B&B in Western North Carolina" by the readers of the “Asheville Citizen-Times”.

We look forward to your visit...

Gracious hosts, wonderful breakfast, and quiet setting! We stayed in the suite in the back house. It was wonderful, especially the jacuzzi tub and quiet setting! Next time we'll try one of the rooms inside the gorgeous main house. Close to downtown. We walked to have dinner at The Market Place, even in the rain. Great spot for a base to explore Asheville from. My husband and I went to this inn per a recommendation, and we couldn't have been happier!

The Chestnut Street Inn was very inviting and exceeded our expectations. Only 2-3 blocks from the edge of downtown Asheville was a perfect walk. Our room was very well appointed and quiet. Sitting on the porches with a glass of wine and cheese before going to dinner was lovely. Breakfast was very well done and creative. I will definitely be coming back here to stay the next time I come back to Asheville.

Chestnut Hill Inn was perfect in all respects. It was a perfect location to walk to downtown or to hop on the trolly to take us to farther places. The innskeeper LaDonna and her assistant Chris made you feel at home from the moment you arrived until it was time to leave. Rooms are clean, and made up daily. There are toiletries and blow dryers in the room. The food was delicious They ask if you have any dietary restrictions and accommodate your needs. My husband enjoyed his morning coffee and afternoon wine sitting in the rocking chairs on the big shaded front porch. WE would definitely return if our travels bring us back to Asheville. Highly recommend.

We had an extremely great time! LaDonna was great - She was very helpful with helping us book dinner reservations and telling us the "Skinny" on the town! The Inn is very convenient to downtown and to other parts of the town as well. I would definitely recommend the Chestnut Street Inn to anyone!

Beautiful inn located on a lovely street close to downtown town Asheville. LaDonna gives new meaning to the word gracious. She goes out of her way to make your stay as comfortable as possible. The inn is impeccably furnished, bedrooms are warm & cozy. Breakfast is delicious & something to relish. This was our second stay & we look forward to a third. We wouldn't stay anywhere else in Asheville. Paul & Rebecca Fenn

We enjoyed our stay at the Chestnut Street Inn so much! The Inn itself is gorgeous. We stayed in the Grove Park room, but peeked in others that were not occupied. Every room looked wonderful. The Inn has a homey charm, yet it has all of the modern amenities one might want. It is perfectly located -- we walked to the downtown area in under 15 minutes -- easy! And Asheville is a very walkable city. Our host, LaDonna, and her super friendly staff made sure that our stay was perfect. They provided a delicious breakfast every morning, along with interesting conversation. My wife cannot eat gluten, so LaDonna made special breakfasts for her every day AND baked gluten free treats for her to find when we returned in the evening. The hospitality and attention to detail were impeccable, and LaDonna was happy to provide us with good tips for sightseeing and restaurants. All in all, our experience at the Chestnut Street Inn made our fun visit to Asheville even more enjoyable.
