Chestnut Street Inn, a 1905 grand Colonial Revival home located in the Chestnut Hill National Historic District, caters to those looking for an experience - not simply lodging. A casual and relaxed atmosphere wil help you feel right at home.
The large porches are a beautiful accent to the mellow old red brick of the exterior. Guests can relax with a good book, retreat to the jumbo rockers, or play table games with other guests. A 1/4-mile walk takes you downtown for antiquing, sightseeing, visiting art galleries, and fine dining. By car, the Biltmore Estate is 2 1/2 miles - - the Blue Ridge Parkway, Folk Art Center, hiking trails, fishing, boating, shopping malls, etc are all 15 minutes or less.
Visit us and see why we won the "1997 Griffin Award” winner for excellence in historic preservation, and were "Voted best B&B in Western North Carolina" by the readers of the “Asheville Citizen-Times”.
We look forward to your visit... |

I highly recommend the Chestnut Street Inn to anyone visiting Asheville! My boyfriend and I enjoyed our stay so much (and felt so comfortable!) that he proposed to me in the garden! He was waiting for the perfect moment and the staff (Chris) kindly agreed to take our pictures outside the day of our departure. Little did she and I know that she was photographing our engagement! I couldn't have asked for a more perfect moment and setting. The Inn is within walking distance of great restaurants, bars, shops, and street festivals, yet is nestled in a quiet neighborhood that really feels like a retreat from city life. The staff are beyond friendly and could not be more accommodating. The breakfast is so tasty, you wouldn't want to eat breakfast anywhere else! The rooms are well-appointed and there is minimal noise heard throughout the house. The front porch is perfect for a morning cup of tea and the garden areas are great for reading-or proposing!

What a wonderful getaway for my husband and myself. The Zen Retreat was more than I expected, the breakfasts were divine, and our hostess, LaDonna, was friendly and knowledgeable. We felt right at home. The inn is very well maintained and the staff members are lovely. We will recommend the Chestnut Street Inn to all of our friends and family.

The Chestnut Street Inn was Awesome. Owner was present, attentive and extremely helpful in terms of "being in the know" for sites etc. She even recommended a wonderful solon that fit me into their schedule on the spot.

If you are planning a trip to Asheville, NC please consider staying at the Chestnut Street Inn. This B and B is absolutely outstanding. Their hospitality, beauty, knowledge, and atmosphere is out of this world. Their staff (Cris and Kendra) are two of the greatest and personable people you will ever meet! While only there for two nights Joe, LaDonna, Cris, and Kendra became a part of my family. You will never meet four people with more pure hearts of gold anywhere! This is truly a blessed house and stands above all others! If you choose this B and B please try to get the Zen room it is exceptional, extremely clean, and beautiful. Breakfast phenomenal with great news, information and conversation.

The inn is comfortable and cozy, and was elegantly decorated for the holidays. Located within walking distance of the downtown. LaAnnn provided excellent and customized recommendations for restaurants and local sights. She served breakfasts that were responsive to food sensitivities, including delicious snacks. The inn has a wonderful video library for rainy days or very cold evenings.
