I've stayed in a lot of B&B's in the past 20 years, and this B&B has been, by far, THE BEST!! The accommodations are outstanding, very homey & comfortable, the location in the mountains is very healing, Patti & Bear absolutely ADORE what they're doing and it truly shows... the amenities in the rooms, the snacks available, the truly delicious & outstanding breakfasts, everything. I just can't say enough good things about the Inn! I wish I could have stayed longer, although for the short time I was there, I found it enriched my visit to Asheville and is one place I'll return to when visiting the area again!

Crooked Oak Mountain Inn is definitely deserving of five stars. The owners, Patti and Bear did everything possible to make our stay memorable. They cook the most amazingly fabulous breakfasts that I have ever eaten. Just thinking about Bear's pecan Belgian waffles and Patti's' blueberry pancakes that are about to levitate off of the plate makes my mouth water.
Each morning we had the most exquisite plate of fresh fruits with Patti's homemade peach yogurt as a topping.
The Inn is nestled high in the mountains. Being there is like living in a five star tree house where you are cossetted and pampered and made to feel as though you have entered the magical world of Patti and Bear.
These dear souls made our stay memorable because they truly love what they are doing and are doing it so magnificiently.
The linens are the finest. The king sized bed with its luciously comfortable mattress just begs you
to have the most perfect night's sleep that you have ever had.
We are returning for eight days in September and we cannot wait.
So many B&B's seem to make men feel uncomfortable. Not this one.
My husband, not a fan of B&B's, is telling all of our friends just how much he loved this magical place.
There are sofas into which you can sink or cuddle with your mate. There is a laptop to use if you don't have one. Best of all, there is the embracing warmth of Patti and Bear who make this Inn the most delightfully special place in the world.
We also loved having Gunner the Lab to give us our doggy fix since we missed our own dogs so much.
Thank you Patti and Bear for having the forsight to create this perfect mountain retreat.
