What a find! I have NEVER slept in a more comfortable bed away from my home. Doug and Laura are the perfect hosts at we felt right at home- they gave us the right amount of friendliness and privacy. The stuffed French toast was out of this world! Couldn’t ask for more- we will visit again.

The Highland Inn is a charming inn, located in the Catskill Mountains. It was 5 minutes from the ski slopes! The innkeepers, Doug and Laura could not have been nicer or more welcoming--they aim to please! Breakfasts are hot, and delicious, with an interesting new twist every day...baked breads, homemade yogurt and granola, egg casseroles or french toast and sausage--really fills you up! Coffee, tea, hot chocolate are available for you to serve yourself, and there are always cookies, brownies or cake on the table at 4pm, when we get back from skiing. There is also an antique refrigerator in the dining room, should you need to refrigerate anything...it's just like home! The main room offers a pool table, comfy couches and a huge TV for programs, dvd's or tapes. They even have a selection of movies to watch! The Inn recently added a restaurant, which offers continental fare--casual, elegant dining (with a kid's menu, too!). They also make box lunches for the slopes...what more could you want? My kids enjoy the pool table, and I can pick up any one of dozens of magazines for a good read on the couch, with a quilt. The rooms are gorgeous, with big oak doors and moldings--ours was roomy and beautifully decorated. I love the oatmeal soap, too. Their towels are LARGE and thick! They don't skimp on towels like other places we've stayed! I can't say enough about the warm hospitality Doug and Laura offer--your wish is their command! This is our second year staying at The Highlands Inn, and we will return!

Charming with wonderful antiques, spacious rooms with comfortable beds and the common space is the largest of any B&B we’ve ever seen with four different rooms to enjoy. The restaurant experience was delightful and relaxed with great food. Doug and Laura are true hosts.
