For a truly special experience, this is the place. The owners are a former engineer and a former librarian. The engineer provided the unigue architecture of the "earthship" design, while the librarian contributed a wonderfully eclectic selection of books which she was eager to discuss...the food was terrific, the conversation outstanding, and the overall experience ranks above excellent. I consider the Dobson House to be my benchmark bed & breakfast experience...The hosts even took us on a tour of the rio grande gorge....If you can stay here, do not even THINK about going anywhere else.......we could see the moon through our open window at night and a hot air baloon rising above the gorge in the early morning. Thank you Dobsons! I promise I will be back soon !
