Hikurangi Lodge Bed and Breakfast is situated a short 1.5Km's (1 mile) from the centre of Queenstown where numerous shops, banks and restaurants are situated. Three romantic guest rooms are available offering options of king, queen or double sized beds. One room can be made up as two singles upon request. All rooms offer lake and mountain views, and two rooms share a private bathroom. Romantic couples can enjoy the Honeymoon suite that includes a spa bath with a choice of a hosted evening meal (just add a little extra to the rate for the meal.
The lodge is located on Queenstown Hill which enjoys commanding views of Lake Wakatipu and surrounding mountains which rise almost 5,500 feet right in front of your eyes! There are 3 ski fields very close with transport available to each resort on a regular basis during the winter. For those interested in golf there is also some great courses locally, all within 20 minutes drive. Queenstown Golf Course has been rated as one of the "most beautiful in the world"! We offer a balanced choice of breakfasts along with an evening meal for those that require it. In the winter evenings enjoy chatting with your hosts and the warmth of the log fire.
Hikurangi Lodge Bed and Breakfast was open to guests in February 2000. During this time Shirley & Barry Meyer have developed the Lodge into one of the leading Bed & Breakfast Lodges in Queenstown, New Zealand. Shirley's eye for detail as well as culinary skills have amazed and delighted many who have stayed and even in the short few year's Hikurangi Lodge has been open, the number of repeat stays has been a true testament to the level of service guests enjoy when they stay. |
