I would highly recommend this b&b to anyone going to the Lake George area. Steve and Sandi were very friendly, accommodating and helpful... the care and attention they put into the house and breakfasts is quite clear. They are full of knowledge about the area - historical facts, places to eat and go for a hike, etc. The quaint lodge is off of any main streets (which is a major plus), though still close to all of the attractions/activities nearby, and the Observatory Room has a perfect view of the Hudson river -- a wonderful sight to wake up to!

What a wonderful place...the views of the river are beautiful from the Observatory Room. Country Road Lodge provided great hospitality as well as a peaceful and relaxing Adirondack atmosphere. Steve and Sandi couldn't have been better hosts. Don't miss Steve's bread and oatmeal. Very good!! They also gave great tips about what to visit in the area. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will recommend it to friends.

This is a tranquil end of the road lodge. The atmosphere and hospitality are worth the trip. No glitz and glitter, just down to earth accommodations. The breakfasts were very filling and definitely worth coming back to the lodge another time. The owners are very friendly and know the area well and are extremely helpful in locating (or directing) answers for questions raised. A true pleasure to stay there.

As always, Steve and Sandi provide a clean, relaxing environment and make us feel at home. The breakfast menu is varied so we choose what we feel like having instead of being given whatever the B&B decides they are serving each day. You've got to try Steve's bread, it's to die for. His special oatmeal can't be beat. Because Steve and Sandi are active with the historial society and Chamber of Commerce, they can answer all of our questions about the Warrensburg area. Being offered a book of menus from restaurants in the area is another example of the extra attention given to all their guests.

Their location -- seemingly at the end of the world (in a good way) is the last house visible -- only their house and lots of nature -- puts visitors literally right on the banks of the roiling Hudson River. It's relaxing and stunning both. Their "Observatory" room features a great river view; and there are more stars in their sky than anywhere else! We found Sandi and Steve to be very welcoming. This is a quiet, peacefull spot with the Hudson River and stunning mountain views right outside the front door. Rooms are nicely decorated and clean. A breakfast menu is offered which includes homemade oat bread, muffins and jam. Make sure you try Steve's oatmeal. There is no TV which is a blessing. Have had the greatest conversations in the evenings with other guests and our hosts.

We find Country Road Lodge just perfect. The hospitality is warm without being overbearing. The breakfast features home made items (French Toast is exceptional) and the dining room, with views of the Hudson River, the beautifully landscaped grounds and an array of seasonal birds, could not be more pleasant. The hosts are gracious and accommodating. The rooms are pleasant,very comfortable, charmingly decorated and well appointed. We always return home well relaxed.

Very relaxing!!!!! Sandi and Steve are great hosts. We enjoyed the time we visited with them. Also, they have had guests from around the world, and during our visit enjoyed the company of a couple from Norway and England.

I would tell them that I felt like I was in my own home and that Steve and Sandi made us feel very, very special. We were waited on hand and foot. The area was so peaceful and quiet, yet if you wanted to be in the action it was only a few miles away. I hope they will have us stay with them again soon!

Sandi and Steve are awesome hosts!!! I sprained my ankle while hiking and they took every possible trouble for me. They had all the information about the area, very informative books and most of all a very quiet and relaxing place. And yes, do not miss the muffins!!They are out of this world!!!

Plenty of outdoor seating to enjoy the views, and a large screened-in gazebo with table and chairs. Plenty of birds and flowers. Most importantly, this Inn offers 2 gracious and friendly hosts who accord all the privacy the guest requires.

Get the room upstairs if you like spaciousness and best view available. We had the Bird room with a Kingsize bed and our own bath across the hall - while it was adequate space we would have enjoyed the additional space and excellent view from upstairs accomodations

A great place to relax and get away from it all. Sandi and Steve are some of the best hosts we've encountered and we have stayed at B&B's all over the world. A year round place - swimming in summer and x-country skiing in winter.

Sandi & Steve have created a calming and comfortable retreat by the Hudson River up in the Adorondacks. The rooms were comfortable and cozy; the garden was a work of art, and the food was something we brag about to friends. Sandi & Steve thought of everything. We'll definitely be back
