Built in 1890 on a hilltop in Tannersville, New York, the Inn is renowned for the warmth and welcome provided.

Our Inn has 15 bedrooms with private baths, cable TV/VCR.

The grounds provide magnificent views of the morning sun rising over a quiet meadow at the left side of the Inn, Cortina Mountain in the distance-with golden sunsets provided in the west, viewing Hunter Mountain. A well-manicured acre of land, surrounded by beautiful flowers and stately pines, offer guests a quiet retreat from which to enjoy the beauty and activities of Greene County. Tannersville is known as the painted village in the sky. The neighboring villages of Hunter, Rhinebeck, Woodstock, and Saugerties provide additional opportunities to discover antique treasures.

Water sports available at many local rivers, lakes, and splash areas include fishing, boating, tubing, swimming, and canoeing.

Golfers have their pick of the finest Catskill courses.

Local attractions lend themselves to memorable day trips include horseback riding, hiking, bicycling, and picnicking.

Hunter Mountain Ski Bowl, Ski Windham, Cortina Valley Ski Center, and other winter resorts are just minutes from the Greene Mountain View Inn. Snowmobiling, cross-country skiing, and ice skating may be enjoyed at nearby sites throughout the winter.
