The Inn by the Mill is a Romantic Upscale Bed and Breakfast in the foothills of Adirondacks half way between Albany and Utica, near Herkimer and above Cooperstown, New York.
The Grist Mill was built in 1830 & completed in 1835 & opened for Grain Milling that same year. Once used as a station of the Underground Railroad, the 1835 Stone Grist Mill & Emporium/Ice Cream Billiard Parlor, 1894 Mill House, and 1888 Hog'n Haus Cottage & Cliffside Cottage are located in a tranquil park-like setting near cascading waterfalls, herb & perennial gardens. Outdoor Hot Tubs overlook the Waterfalls.
Our gardens have been planted with over 20,000 flower bulbs as well as thousands of herbs & perennials. There is always an inviting place to stroll or pause in this peaceful haven.
The Mill House was built in 1894 and located in Central New York, Leather stocking area of the Mohawk Valley in the Town of (West) St. Johnsville. Situated near the Mohawk River & Erie Canal near the St. Johnsville Municipal Marina and North of Cooperstown. Delicious continental breakfast Very romantic, ideal for Honeymooners, Glimmerglass Opera is 30 minutes away. Our guests may browse in the 1835 Stone Grist Mill. Relax in an outdoor Hot Tub. Visit our museum-like Emporium-Ice Cream Billiard Parlor during the summer season where you can create your own complimentary Ice Cream delights, sample gourmet desserts or listen to historical storytelling.
