Welcome to the Ginger Cat Bed and Breakfast, a two-bedroom home nestled upon 15 acres in the town of Reading, New York, just a few miles northwest of Watkins Glen, NY. Voted as the favorite Vegetarian B&B by the readers of VegNews Magazine, it is the perfect place to stay during a vacation to the Finger Lakes area. At the Ginger Cat B&B, we treat our guests as our friends and provide a cozy, clean atmosphere. We welcome families and one room is pet-friendly.
A vegan breakfast is served every weekday morning and a huge vegan brunch is served on Saturday and Sunday. We are also able to accommodate most dietary requirements including gluten-free.
While visiting, be sure to take a walk through the woods surrounding the house and gardens and relax on our large deck. Star-gazing is guaranteed to please as the Milky Way is directly overhead! The Ginger Cat Bed and Breakfast is located less than 15 minutes from Farm Sanctuary, Watkins Glen State Park and the Seneca Lake Wine Trail. Within 45 minutes are the towns of Corning and Ithaca.
We have resident cats, here to love each guest and accommodate their feline needs but the cats are not allowed in the guest quarters to reduce any chances of allergic reactions. Come stay at the Ginger Cat Bed and Breakfast and experience hospitality and grace in our cozy country home!

We require a personal check or PayPal Payment in full (including all taxes). Rates are based on double occupancy. $30/night for a third person/child. Payment must be made within 4 days of your reservation request.
We can only accept credit cards via PayPal at this time. |

The Zachary Room is pet-friendly. No animals are allowed to be left in the room all day. They must be up-to-date on vaccinations (proof required) and a $75 refundable deposit is required upon arrival. |

We had an amazing weekend at Ginger Cat B&B. Gita (the owner) made us feel so at home. I felt like I had known her for years pretty quickly after arriving for the first time. Her home (the B&B) is warm, cozy, clean and cruelty free ;) The cats were so much fun. They are so well-behaved, but kept out of the guest area for those who are allergic (or otherwise don't want to be around cats). In addition to being a kind, generous and warm person, she is also an amazing cook. Vegans and non-vegans alike will love her cooking. Though Gita keeps a vegan home, all are welcome here - even meat eaters. Ginger Cat is convenient to downtown Watkins Glen, wineries, hiking trails, and (drum roll please) Farm Sanctuary! :) There are 2 guest rooms here, and our fellow guests were so friendly. We had a great time with everyone. It was so wonderful to come back to a warm home every night, rather than a hotel room (plus you have access to food/beverage/toiletries 24/7 that you would not at a hotel). I highly recommend Ginger Cat B&B and can't wait to visit again soon. Thank you Gita!
