Veranda House is part of the Rhinebeck Village Historical District listed in the National Register of Historical Places. The house is furnished with an eclectic mix of old and new furniture and contemporary American paintings and drawings.

Veranda House Bed and Breakfast serves full Gourmet Breakfasts with fresh fruit, homemade pastries and a variety of breakfast entrees. Breakfast is served in the dining room or on the terrace overlooking the garden, weather permitting. Enjoy appetizers on weekend evenings with your hosts, a retired college professor of architectural history and a former medical librarian, artist and gourmet cook.

Located on the second floor, this charming room has a four poster queen size bed with a lace canopy, beautiful antique armoire, Victorian velvet lounging chair, and a private bathroom with a shower. Lace curtains cover the windows, and wallpaper with a beautiful design of roses gives this room its name.

Chrysanthemum Room
Elegant room on the first floor with charming bay window and window seat, four poster queen size bed, armoire, Eastlake furniture suite and private bathroom with shower. This is our largest room with a nine foot ceiling and beautiful dark green wallpaper with chrysanthemum design which gives this room its name.

White Heron Room
This lovely room with its oriental influenced wallpaper of trees, magnolia blossoms and white herons is also on the second floor. This room has a private bathroom with a shower and twin beds which can be made up as a king. This is a verycomfortable room, light and sunny, with lace curtains framing the view from the front and the garden.
