Beautiful home, excellent breakfast, Blanche was very accomodating and a wonderful hostess. We found Tillinghast Manor on the internet, brought the number with us, called when we arrived into town, and a room was available right away. We couldn't have picked a nicer place.

We had a wonderful 3-night stay. Blanche Tillinghast and the house are both as charming as they could be! Her pumpkin roll, banana bread, and sour cream coffee cake were delicious!

Ms. Blanche was the perfect hostess. Her "breakfeast" was bountiful and delicious that included many fresh fruits, fresh baked goods and a Pumpkin Roll that was fantastic. We enjoyed her joining us at breakfast and her suggestions of places to see in the area. Her home is beautiful. We teased her that she should call it a Breakfast and Bed!

Terrific out of the way find! Blanche Tillinghast is a great hostess....rooms are large & comfortable....excellent cleanliness....excellent breakfasts with plenty of home baked goods. Surrounding NY State wineries & Watkins Glen attractions provide plenty to do. We'll be returning in Sep 08!

You don't expect the Four Seasons in a small rural town in upstate New York, but you do expect something typical of the region. For three experienced travelers this was a perfect experience. Comfortable bed, clean and neat rooms, warm and considerate staff. and a delicious breakfast: home made jam and coffee cake. Excellent coffee. Five stars!

Our stay at Tillinghast Manor was wonderful! Mrs. Blanche makes her guests feel like family! She has thought of every little detail to make your stay comfortable. Oh, her pumpkin roll is scrumptious, too!

The rooms, atmosphere, and the "innkeepers" - sisters - were beyond anything we expected. The house is amazing!!!!
