Every effort is made to accommodate guests. Hotel chains can absorb the average cancellation with little effort – the Innkeeper cannot. For this reason, the cancellation policy is strictly adhered to. Cancellations must be made 14 days prior to arrival. Special events wherein the entire house is rented – i.e. for wedding receptions, etc. – require a 60 day notice in writing by letter or email. Should it be necessary for a guest to depart earlier than the confirmed departure date, guest will be responsible for the full amount of the original confirmed stay, unless the room is re-booked for all nights. Every effort will be made to re-book the room, and confirmation will be made with the original guest. Any refund will be made at that time.

Room rates are based on single or double occupancy. Prices do not include 11% room tax. A portion of this tax benefits local tourism. We request a 2-night minimum stay on Cornell and Ithaca College graduation weekends. The Dane Emerson House welcomes guests 16 years and older. We do not accommodate pets. The innkeeper will confirm all reservation requests by emailing or phoning you. At that time, a deposit of 50% is necessary. The Dane Emerson House accepts checks, Master Card, Visa, and American Express. Checks can be mailed directly to the Dane Emerson House and will be deposited. Please mail these within 3 days of reservation request confirmation. Credit card deposits can be made by accessing the Availability link above. All information is secure, however if necessary, the credit card deposit can be made by phoning the innkeeper. Deposits are charged to the card at the time reservations are confirmed. Reservations will be considered complete once the deposit is received. For this reason, all deposits must be received no later than 10 days after reservation request has been confirmed by the innkeeper.
