1291 Bed & Breakfast welcomes you to New York City. We invite you to make our home your home away from home. We are located on 55th Street between 8th and 9th Avenues, right in the heart of Manhattan. Times Square and Central Park are in walking distance as well as many great restaurants, bars and shopping possibilities. There is easy access to public transportation. The bus- and subway station are just 5 minutes away. There are also many supermarkets, restaurants, bars in this area as well as the famous Modern Art Museum (MOMA). A young, highly professional and motivated team welcomes and greets you at 1291 Bed & Breakfast, ready to make your getaway the best one yet.

There are a variety of choices when deciding what type of stay you would like to have in the big apple. 1291 features 6 bed dorms: room with 3 bunk beds (6 single beds) with shared bathroom en-suite. A shared double: room with 1 bunk bed (2 single beds), shared bathroom is in the hallway. Private double: room with a queen size bed, radio, sink and a closet with shared bathroom on the floor. Private suite for 4: room with a queen size bed, a double pull-out couch, TV, radio, private bathroom and fully equipped kitchen. (Breakfast is not included). Our suites, studios and duplex apartments are located a short distance away from the main building, on 55th Street between 8th Avenue and Broadway.

Air conditioning is available during the summer months. (June 15th to Sept 20th). We offer a 24 hour self service breakfast, which includes: cereals, toast, peanut butter, jelly, coffee and tee. (Not for apartments). We provide for all our guests: Lounge with a big screen TV, relaxing backyard, kitchen facility equipped with refrigerator, microwave and utensils to cook. Guests may use our laundry facility (in the evening).

Apartments do not have meals included - they are furnished with a fully equipped kitchen and bathroom. All other rooms have a self served breakfast, including: toast, cereals, tea, coffee, peanut butter and jelly. (Serve yourself 24h!!)

Check In Policy:
Private rooms between 2pm till 12midnight Suites and Apartments 4pm till 12midnight A late fee applies for check-ins after 12midnight (12am to 2am = 20 usd, $40 after 2am until 6am) For check inns after 10pm a surcharge is required 10pm to 12am $ 20.00 12am to 1am $ 40.00 after 1am $ 60.00
Check Out Policy:
Check out is between 8am and 11am. There is no problem with checking out earlier than 8am. Guests, who have to leave in the evening, can store the luggage for free.
Cancellation Policy:
No-shows and bookings cancelled less than 10 days in advance of scheduled arrival time, will be charged for the 1st two nights! Credit card on file will be charged.

Everybody under the age of 18 has to be in parents company.

Deposit Policy:
We require a US$ 300.00 down payment to hold all bookings which are higher than US$ 500.00. Down payment is non refundable.

We normally don't allow pets in our B&B but we do some exceptions now and then. Contact us for more information.
