"Inn the Woods" is a spacious contemporary inn, in a peaceful wooded setting. In our music room, you will find a piano to play. You can rock your cares away on the deck or swing them away in the tree covered hammock. In cold months you can warm yourself by the living room fire, watching the snow fall through the floor to ceiling windows. True to its name, Inn the Woods is nestled in a quiet woodsy area off Route 9 in Hyde Park, New York. This bed and breakfast owned by Valarie and Harry Losey is immaculately clean and well decorated. This cozy getaway feels as comfortable as your own home. There are several bedrooms to choose from. Ours was charming and very comfortable with a private bath. Upon arriving for breakfast, a crackling fire and an assortment of newspapers and magazines awaited us. Two inviting couches flanking the fire were the perfect spot to read the paper over a cup of coffee. The breakfast was a gourmet delight. Just about everything on the table--including the muffins, scones, waffles, and even the juices and syrups--was homemade and delicious. Harry and Valarie will give you just the amount of attention you desire. If you are low key, they will respect your privacy. On the other hand, if you want to talk, they are happy to socialize. Valarie is able to advise you on places to visit and where to eat. If you are looking for a quiet, comfortable weekend away, you will not be disappointed at Inn the Woods.

The view was very woodsy and pretty, the room was comfortable, clean and quiet. The hosts, Harrison & Valarie, were attentive but not overbearing. Breakfast was always yummy. A great place to stay when visiting the Hyde Park area.
