The Thorsden Room This large corner room has a gas fireplace and five toile-draped windows with views of the hillside garden and the former church next door. It is named after the madam, "Ma" Thorsden, who ran the inn as a bordello in the 1930's and '40's, despite its location next to the church, and history as a one-time parsonage! King bed, cable tv/dvd/vcr, A/C and enormous whirlpool tub in the private bathroom.

The General Henry Knox Room This guest room features gracious touches such as grandmother's dressing table and celluloid vanity set. The custom duvet and pillow shams on the queen-sized bed are backed by an antique mantel headboard. Great-grandmother's love seat can be seen, reflected in the mirror. This large second-floor room has a charming bird's-eye view of the large Norfolk Pine in the front garden and views over the terraced iris and day lily garden from the new east facing room with twin bed.

Merrill Room The pale hues in this large ground floor room provide a serene backdrop to the charcoal triptych of Hudson River views by artist Gail Giles. French doors open out onto your own small, sunken terrace. Inconspicuous white grab bars in the whirlpool tub are all that signal that this is the handicapped-accessible room. The sink, a marble antique found at a salvage shop in Hudson, meets the ADA codes. King bed, cable tv, gas fireplace, A/C.

The Martin Van Buren Room A very special room: a 16 ft. cathedral ceiling and large windows with a pastoral view of an old apple orchard, the herb and cutting garden, meadows and an ancient abandoned cemetery. Situated on the second floor in the back wing, it feels especially private. There are two beds, twin and king, and a gas fireplace.
