This stately Georgian Colonial home and storefront, now a cozy yet elegant Catskill Mountain bed & breakfast, was lovingly built in 1830 by George Robbins as the tiny hamlets first grocery and supply store for the entire area. During the early years, George smuggled sugar and flour in through the lines during the Civil War. This property has remained the focal point in the area and will now become the home of Alpaca-N-Tigues, a combination of art, alpaca fleece products and antiques, along with our sister company, Catskill Boiler Company. Nearby enjoy great skiing, cross country, ice skating, art galleries, music festivals, hot air ballooning, hiking, horseback riding, fly fishing, abundant golf courses, phenomenal restaurants, majestic mountains, multiple lakes, and streams.....the list goes on and on!
Recently renovated with lots of love and serious attention to detail, the inn has returned to the original splendid elegance that she once was. Each room is uniquely decorated in the regal style of the 1830's. Guests always say that they felt immediate warmth upon entering the inn. Come visit and find yourself the peaceful, comfy spot you've been looking for...we'll be waiting!! And bring your appetite too--our gourmet breakfasts are as divine as the house itself!! |
