Just minutes away are the magnificent hiking trails of the "forever wild" Catskill Forest Preserve, golf, fishing, horseback riding, antiquing, rail rides, tubing, mountain biking and some of the best skiing in the Northeast at Belleayre and Plattekill. Originally built in 1887 as a classic Victorian summer retreat for Addison Scott, a wealthy Griffin Corners resident, the "Scott Cottage" began welcoming guests to the countryside around the turn of the century. Situated at the confluence of the Bushkill and Little Red Kill trout streams, the setting has long proved a powerful lure for those seeking to rejuvenate body and soul. |
