Patrick Lynch Patrick Lynch was shipwrecked off Amagansett beach in 1851 in transit from Dublin while fleeing the great potato famine. He was offered a job in East Hampton and chose to stay rather than joining the majority of his companions headed west for the Gold Rush. Some years later he became the owner of the house now known as The Mill House Inn. Decorated with Gaelic flair with pale blue walls and spruce Duponi silk drapes, Patrick's Room has an iron queen bed, antique marble-topped tables, a leather club chair with ottoman, gas fireplace and a newly renovated bathroom with Grohe fixtures, stone floors and a marble walk-in shower. Located on the second floor of the Inn with views across the village green.
