The Stoney Lonesome Bed and Breakfast Inn, an eco-friendly wilderness B&B in Crown Point, NY, is discretely tucked away in the woods on 200 acres of pristine Adirondack wilderness. We are an old Civil War Era farmhouse which was bypassed by rural electrification but converted into a unique solar powered energy efficient home. Come away from the hustle and bustle of life and the stress of making a living and instead truly relax, refuel and enjoy life in the quiet of nature for a season. Tell us your story under a starlit sky, on our front or back porch, round a campfire or at the Inn's table, and we'll share a few of ours.
If you want to retreat to your room, grab a book off one of our many shelves and make yourself at home. We are open year round with 3-4 unique rooms, each with their own private bath, decorated in warm, cozy, country style furnishings. A full course breakfast with healthy homemade treats awaits you each morning. You'll find us around the bend and out of the way, but we are still just minutes away from the recreation and history to be found on Lake George, Lake Champlain, and in Ticonderoga, Schroon Lake, and Crown Point. |

Fantastic location for a weekend getaway with our primary focus on hiking. Beautiful house on an wonderfully secluded section of land, but with reasonably local access to attractions and food etc. The host and hostess served a phenomenal breakfast, and were extremely friendly and welcoming.
Not a single complaint!

We are a young couple that was looking for a getaway on Labor Day weekend, and we found it! Stoney Lonesome was nestled in nature to our hearts content. We got in late, and the family was very accommodating. The following morning, we enjoyed a wonderful breakfast and got a tour of the property. They're sustainability systems were awesome! Solar panels, wood burners, and all sorts of other goodies and gadgets.

Great place, great breakfast and great hosts. A fantastic out of the way place to go. We had a great hike, beautiful area with stunning scenery...only wish we had more time to spend with Nancy and John. From beginning to end, our hosts made us feel welcome...just like family.

Had the opportunity to stay at the Stoney Lonesome Bed and Breakfast in Crown Point, NY. What can I say but it is warm, homey, reasonably priced with superb breakfast. The owners are friendly and helpful. The dogs a delight. The surroundings nestled in the woods outside of Crown Point. If you are staying overnight in the area, start looking here for a room.

We stayed two nights at this B&B and had a wonderful time.
The highlights for us were: the close proximity to nature, hiking trails and lakes, the region itself with its breathtaking scenery, the B&B owners Nancy and John that made us feel like family, great conversations with Nancy and John, picking Adirondack blueberries, the charm and comfort of the civil war era house and the great breakfasts. On day one we ate: oven baked stuffed organic tomatoes, fresh spiced muffins, bacon and sausage, egges, sour dough bread, perfect fruit salad and yogurt. On day two we ate: steel cut oats, fruit salad (with fresh Adirondack blueberries), fresh Adirondack blueberry muffins, bacon and sausage, fresh bread and eggs. This B & B is our new happy place and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a refreshing getaway!

My stay at Stoney Lonesome was my first stay in a B&B and I was thoroughly impressed. The Ockrin's were more than willing to show me all the best places to visit, and trails to hike. They truly made my visit a successful vacation, equal parts relaxation and adventure. The atmosphere is very comfortable and homey and breakfast was delicious. I look forward to staying with them again!

My stay at Stoney Lonesome was more than Idyllic! I exoected a quiet, peaceful experience staying in a comfortable B&B nestled within the Adirondacks....Stoney Lonesome completly surpassed my expectations. My room was quaint and very comfortable, John and Nancy were gracious hosts and the other guests were charming as well. We enjoyed breakfast together and I felt like I was at home dining with my family - my only regret was that I could not stay longer!!

The drive from Ticonderoga to get to this idyllic quiet wooded location sets the tone for a wonderful time. The Ockrin's home is set way off the beaten path, but does not lack in any creature comforts. The family is wonderful and very friendly (as were their 2 beautiful dogs), and it is indeed a home-way-from-home experience. We stayed at the International Room, and the nighttime view of stars and fireflies outside the window was truly amazing. The breakfast spread in the morning was a cut above most if not all hotel-chain breakfasts, and truly reminded us of home. This location is highly recommended.
