The newly renovated ECCE Bed and Breakfast is located in Barryville, NY in the southwest Catskills region and features panoramic views of the Delaware River valley and mountain ranges of New York and Pennsylvania. From the large outdoor decks, marvel at the breath taking views and watch the wide variety of wildlife, including the American Bald Eagle. ECCE is situated on 60 acres of wooded private property to hike, paint and photograph the wonders of nature.
Savor a sumptuous gourmet breakfast while overlooking the river from one of our many outdoor decks or breakfast room. Enjoy unique fare such as ECCE's Classic "Eggs in the Clouds Benedict," or our "Stuffed Baked French Toast" with cream cheese and seasonal fruits. ECE is the perfect setting to celebrate those special occasions such as birthdays, anniversaries and reunions. ECCE is also an excellent venue to host small executive retreats. Whatever the occasion, it will be personal and long remembered. |

The Latin name of this fantastic bed and breakfast describes the unbelievable view - "Behold". Special sightings of eagles are a daily experience. The very tastefully decorated accomodations are kept spotless and make you feel at home immediately. The breakfast was above and beyond our expectations with too many choices to pick from. We will definitely go back. This first visit was to celebrate our 19th wedding anniversary and it was very special thanks to our hosts.

I have stayed in B&Bs but it has been a while-most of my overnight stays are not for pleasure-THIS place was a pleasure!a GEM ! starting with our host, Alan, making us feel so comfortable and invited !the home was so receptive to any kind of enjoyment- a room to sit and read- a dining area to eat-a magnificent deck to overlook the Deleware River and beautiful mountains-just so incredible- they had a delightful "Meet and Greet" hour-we met other guests and the otehr owner, Kurt-they served platters of grilled vegetables and tomatoes and mozzerella ! such an eloquent surprise !the rooms are fastidious in every way- they had refrigerator filled with water and soda- a basket filled with delightful snacks ! the bathroom was supplied with expensive amenties-the towels were huge and luscious! the sheets were so incredible- we slept like babies ! the next morning (the night before, Kurt gave us a menu to pick out breakfast out ! UNHEARD of !)we dined, starting with a Monkey Bread to dir for- the eggs were not to be believed in the way they were served-just so wonderful the whole weekend- they should be showered with all kinds of awards and accolades ! Bravo, Alan and Kurt!

My wife and I cannot say enough good things about ECCE. Allan & Kurt have created an atmosphere that is comparable to any five star hotel. Yet you feel like you just got home when you walk in. The vistas surrounding ECCE are spectacular. Fall is an optimum time to visit because the foliage change adds to the serenity of the surroundings. The food served for breakfast adds another dimension to this wonderful B&B. Again you feel like your at the best hotel you can imagine but with the wonderful feeling of home. Allan & Kurt's attention to detail is phenomenal in every aspect, the rooms, the food and of course the guest's needs. Bravo!!

Recommended highly, the hosts do things right
If you are looking for a place that is exceptionally accommodating, beautiful and immaculate, this is the place for you! The innkeepers really do things right. If you want a place to take in some bird watching (watched Eagles and their young this weekend) and enjoy the serenity/beauty of the Delaware River & the Catskill mountains again, this is the place for you! Located on a bluff overlooking the Delaware. Beautiful & serene. The breakfast was fantastic and not to be missed. Afternoon snacks and beverages served daily. At this point is when your order for breakfast is taken and reservations for dinner will be made for you, by the innkeepers if you so desire. Highly recommended! Can't wait to return for the fall foliage, if not sooner!

I have stayed at many B&Bs. ECCE is by far the best. Everything about this B&B is exceptional. The innkeepers, the food, the atmosphere and decor, and the view are beyond compare. You're every need is considered and met.
