The Living Room El Paradero was originally a Spanish adobe farm-house built between 1800-1820, during Spanish Colonial rule. In the 1880's Territorial style details were added, and in 1912 the main house was remodeled adding Victorian doors and windows. The suites are in an adjacent turn-of-the-century double-brick coachman's house that is a registered historical landmark in New Mexico.

Room 5 Warm, polished pine floors and the old clawfoot tub (with shower attachment) in the bathroom let you know that this room has a history. Indeed, the bath with its high ceilings , was part of the barn back when El Paradero was a farm. The room has a queen bed, carved Southwestern furniture and a hand-painted corner trastero. This quaint room is enhanced by whimisical Musuem of New Mexico fabric on the chairs and bedskirt.

Room 6 Spacious with high ceilings, this room has a tall, dramatic adobe fireplace buit by Taos Indians, brick floors and lots of room for a longer stay. This room was part of the old barn back when El Paradero was a farm. The bed is a queen bed. The bath has a tub/shower and wonderful folk art paintings on the wall.

Room 7 Brick floors, viga ceilings, a dramatic pine and tin headboard and a low price make this a popular room. Room Seven is flexible and can have either twin beds or a king-sized bed. Room Seven adjoins Room Eight, making the combination popular with families. Its private bathroom is just steps across the hall and there is a sink basin in the room.

Room 12 Located upstairs in the main inn, this spacious room spans the entire front of the building and boasts a balcony with table and chairs as well as views to the east, west and north. There is a queen bed, a day bed and a trundle. A sitting area graces the room and the large bathroom has lovely Talavera sinks as well as a tiled vanity and tub/shower. There are Saltillo tile floors throughout and folk art adorns the walls.

Pino Suite The Pino suite is located in a charming, Victorian-era house and is furnished in period antiques, has a wood-burning fireplace, beautiful hardwood floors, cable TV, a pocket kitchenette, and a porch with a swing. The bedroom has a queen bed and the living room has a queen-size sofa bed. The period bathroom boasts a clawfoot tub with a shower and Victorian-style accessories. The building in which the Pino Suite is housed is on the New Mexico list of Historically Significant Properties.
