Imagine finding a Victorian bed and breakfast, coffee shop, gourmet food store, a gift shop and boutique all in one…well located just south of Santa Fe, in historic Madrid, Java Junction Bed & Breakfast you’ll find all that at. Our bed and breakfast sleeps two in a queen-size bed, with a cot for a third, and includes amenities such as a 6 foot soaking claw foot tub, full kitchen, television, air-conditioning and a private patio. Your night stay includes breakfast and coffee in the morning. Our continental breakfast offers fresh croissants, muffins, breads or breakfast burritos (a local New Mexican favorite) and, of course, fabulous coffees, espresso drinks and juices, all from our shop downstairs. And, of course, we have wireless internet.
You'll love the lively little ghost town of Madrid. Once a booming coal-mining center famous for its Christmas displays, Madrid had become a ghost town until the early '70s when artists and crafts persons arrived. Old company stores and houses were converted into shops and galleries with paintings, sculpture, pottery, leather, jewelry, furniture, bead work, toys, art wear, antiques and imports. Food is available in several restaurants, a grocery, bakery, coffee shop and an ice cream parlor. The "First Saturday" of each month is the special day to tour the galleries on the Turquoise Trail. In December, the spirit of yesteryear lives on with Holiday Open House and the lighting of the town. Come to explore and enjoy. Click on our web site above to browse through our wonderful coffee and special sauce selections which you can start enjoying right now at home! When you visit us at Java Junction you'll find that coffee is an art and high desert herbal tea is plentiful. The pot is on…we’re waiting for your call. |
