The 100-foot Wraparound Porch features comfortable outdoor seating including a bevy of rocking chairs, plus tables and chairs for al fresco meals or friendly gatherings. At our Ocean City, NJ B&B near Cape May, you’ll enjoy privacy similar to a vacation rental, yet our personalized service and friendly hospitality are always close at hand.

Living Room
The expansive double Living Room is the first of many common areas provided for Scarborough Inn guests. Here, visitors to our Cape May inn are greeted upon arrival and they can return to this welcoming space for concierge assistance, to enjoy the company of family or fellow guests, or to sit by the fireplace in the cooler months.

Dining Room
Our accommodations include breakfast, featuring fresh, seasonal ingredients, enjoyed in the Dining Room every morning with Early-Riser’s Coffee Service beginning at 7:30. The attractive décor features jewel-toned colors, individual dining tables, and an entire wall of windows with a view overlooking the Courtyard Garden. In warm weather, guests may choose to enjoy breakfast al fresco on the 100-foot wraparound front porch where tables and chairs await.

Breakfast at the Inn
Enjoy a full breakfast on weekends and a continental-plus breakfast on weekends, served with fresh seasonal fruit.

The Library
Upstairs, you can enjoy the Library – repository of a selection of books, magazines, tourist pamphlets, and media (VHS or DVD format) for guests’ entertainment. Several armchairs and an ornate antique chest contribute to a soothing atmosphere in this petite retreat.

Soujourn Room
The Sojourn Room, located on the top floor, has a more contemporary vibe with rich colors and windows that overlook the street and offer a glimpse of the Atlantic Ocean beyond. Here you’ll find a CD player, tables, and a selection of board games. The kitchenette has facilities for making coffee or tea, an ice machine, and small fridge for chilling your snacks or beverages. A desk provides work space (if you MUST) and wireless Internet (complimentary, and provided throughout the Inn).

Sonnet Suite - Room #3
A striking jewel-toned, impressionistic floral print adorns the padded headboard and window valances. Beige and black floral duvets with coordinating linens dress the bed and enliven the decor. Two armchairs and various accessories add a touch of purple pizzazz within this comfortable retreat. The hand-stenciled armoire houses the in-room coffee bar; a flat screen Cable TV with DVD, charming artwork, and the inn’s signature toiletries create a room that is pure poetry.

Sweet Thymes Demi-Suite - Room #5
This romantic room is decorated in soft, classical floral prints featuring muted shades of cream, celery, and lavender. The walls are painted in soft ivory to create a lighter, fresher ambiance; but a bold accent wall plus plaid dust ruffles & shams add just a touch of the unexpected. Enjoy the queen-size Pencil Post bed, armoire with flat screen Cable TV, in-room coffee bar, and a small table and chairs nestled in a nook – perfect for reading or morning coffee. Sweet times indeed!

Aurora - Room #10
Like the dawning of a beautiful day, this room is awash in gentle colors on coordinating prints – pastel yellow and pink, sky blue and white like billowy clouds. Rich wood tones on the carved headboard, bedside tables, and antique dresser add traditional elegance and a crystal chandelier adds a touch of romance. Two armchairs and a circular table provide a comfortable nook for reading or morning coffee in this lovely sun-drenched room.

Cotswold - Room #20
The imposing carved mahogany pencil post bed features a rich burgandy back drop and a flower-bedecked comforter featuring bold cabbage roses reminiscent of a cottage garden.

Sherwood King Suite - Room #26
Situated on the top floor, this very spacious suite is filled with light from its six windows and with special amenities - Scarborough Inn bathrobes, a flat screen television with DVD player, and a Melita coffee bar tucked in the armoire. The Sherwood features a king size bed, bistro table and chairs overlooking the garden, and a love seat fronted by a coffee table. The colors are warm and inviting - soothing ivory, forest green and lively terra cotta.

Chelsea Suite - Room #28
The imposing oak Pencil Post bed - centerpiece of this spacious suite - is adorned with a tasteful duvet in richly colored hues. The fresh, nouvelle interpretation of traditional fabrics is also found on coordinating pillows, accessories, and artwork - contributing to the striking, yet soothing, environment. The spacious sitting area contains a love seat, plus there’s a table with two chairs near bay windows overlooking the courtyard garden below. Thoughtful touches include a flat screen TV with DVD, in-room coffee bar, and robes for guests’ use during your stay.
