The Albert Stevens Inn Bed and Breakfast

The Albert Stevens Inn was built in 1898 by Dr. Albert G. Stevens, a Cape May homeopathic medical doctor. The house was commissioned as a wedding gift for his bride, Bessie. It is a Victorian Queen Anne Classic, with a unique floating staircase which is suspended from the third floor turret. The two dining rooms were originally the doctor's office suite. The house was restored and converted to a Bed and Breakfast Inn in 1980 when Albert and Bessie's' heirs sold the home to the first Albert Stevens Inn owners. In 2001, the Inn was purchased by the current innkeepers, Jim and Lenanne Labrusciano.

Living Room

The Tapestry
This warm room is located on the first floor with a sunny bay window. The antique Lincoln style queen bed is accompanied with antique chairs and marble top table. A private bath is provided with shower, pedestal sink, and hairdryer. Silent mini fridge, TV/VCR, and plush bath robes are provided for your convenience.

The Study
This large room on the first floor is beautifully decorated with period antiques, lace window treatments and hand printed wallpaper from Bradbury & Bradbury designed by Victorian designer Charles Dresser.

Bessie's Room
Pamper yourself in the new European style bathroom with radiant floor heat, hair dryer, and a jacuzzi style tub and shower. This room has an antique Eastlake queen size bed, period antiques, reading lamps and two comfortable chairs sitting on top of a handmade rug on the original hardwood floor. With a mini fridge, TV/VCR, iron & ironing board, and comfortable robes, it is easy to why it is one of our most popular rooms.

Vesta's Room
An east facing light and airy 2nd floor room with in room control of heat and air conditioning. While the antique full size bed is the oldest in the Inn, the bathroom is newly renovated modern turn of the century style bathroom with shower, hair dryer, and thirsty bath robes. Wall to wall carpet, TV, and use of hall refrigerator for your beverages.

The Tower Suite
At the top of the floating stairway, occupying the entire third floor, this large suite is more like an apartment and provides the utmost in privacy. Pamper yourself in the new larger European style bathroom with shower for two and radiant floor heat. Suite contains two bedrooms; one has a luxurious queen mattress, period antiques, flat screen TV/DVD/VCR, refrigerator, iron & iron board, hair dryer, chairs and ladies vanity. The other a twin bed with TV, chairs, and table. Immerse yourself into the luxurious bath robes. In room control of heat and air conditioning.

The Rose Room
At the top of the stairs on the second floor is a cozy, sunny room over looking the Park, decorated with hand printed Bradbury & Bradbury wallpaper inspired by the famous English designer Walter Crane. Enjoy an antique Queen Size bed with chairs, imported handmade rug, TV/VCR and plush bath robes. The bathroom has a shower and hair dryer. Refrigerator available.

Cousin Christopher's Room
Very private first floor room filled with antiques and the allure of Victorian romance. A queen size bed, ceiling fan, air conditioning, silent mini-fridge, TV/VCR, and closet with luxurious robes will surround you in warmth and comfort. While the new bathroom has a Victorian appearance, you will find it thoroughly modern and spacious with a neo-angle shower.

The Stevens Room
With a twin and full size beds, this quaint and charming room is the perfect choice for two people who desire their own bed. A private bath with shower, hairdryer, TV, bath robes, and the use of the hall refrigerator will make your stay hassle free and convenient without undue expense.

The Golden Bud
Located on the second floor, this spacious and cheery three room suite glows in the mid-morning sunlight. There is plush wall to wall carpet, a king bed, chairs, silent mini fridge and TV/VCR. The sitting room has two comfortable chairs and a gas fireplace to comfort you. The bath has a shower with hairdryer along with luxurious bath robes. In room control of heat and air conditioning.

The Studio Suite
The richness of this large, slightly modern, expansive suite is enhanced by a seaside sultry ambiance that is intensely romantic. A rattan king size bed, 10 foot high cathedral ceiling with skylight, and best of all a gas fireplace. A large TV with DVD and another TV in the sunken living room with a sofa daybed provide extra space for a third person. Large wet bar, coffee maker, refrigerator, hair dryer, A/C, iron & ironing board, and lush carpet. Suite contains a private bathroom with shower and large vanity with his and her premium robes to caress and pamper you.
