My first experience with this Inn was Easter Sunday and I enjoyed my stay so much I re-booked the room when leaving to stay for Mother's Day with my Mother and children. Unfortunately upon arriving the gentlemen owner opened the door but did not greet us, introduce himself or say even say hello. Their dog was more welcoming to us. There was tension in the air when the man spoke to his wife about the dog. My mother was dissappointed in how we were greeted also, and I felt unwelcomed right from entering the door. But not wanting to spoil my surprise to my family, I actually made excuses for these people. We made the best of it, enjoyed our time together but will not be returning to this Inn.

Response
We are so surprised to hear that you did not enjoy the stay with us. I can only think that perhaps we were taken aback by the extra guest you had with you, that we did not know about. We always strive to be prepared for the arrival of all our guests, and have never had a situation when someone adds another adult to a room without advance notice. I am also surprised, since I overheard how wonderful the Mother's Day was, and what a wonderful breakfast of homemade pear cardamom scones, sauteed apples, and puff pancake with strawberry rhubarb sauce and applewood smoked bacon. My daughter Olivia enjoyed playing with your daughter, and I enjoyed reading her a bedtime story. So sorry we were not able to meet your expectations.

Enjoyed the charm and the company at this inn. Breakfast was wonderful to start the day. The end of the day was very relaxing with the wine and cheese in the social room. Innkeepers made us feel very comfortable and cared for. We definitely will be going back.
