Sitting on five acres, near Temple Mountain in Sharon, New Hampshire is Three Maples, A Country Bed & Breakfast. Though clearly in the country, Three Maples is four miles from the classic and charming New England town of Peterborough, the model for Thornton Wilder's famous play, "Our Town," and only an hour and a half from Boston. Once you are settled in you can think about what you might like to do with your weekend. Start out gently. Walk out the back door onto Mountain Road and the you have access to 1000 acres of beautiful, quiet forest. Branch off the trail and look for signs of moose, deer, coyote or fox. Feeling vigorous? Climb the mile up Berry Pasture Trail to the grandly scenic ridges of the Wapack Trail or hike Mount Monadnock, the most climbed mountain in the world, only a 20 minute drive away.
Guests will always be greeted with fresh flowers and gourmet chocolates in their rooms. Each room has its own bath with shower or tub/shower combination, and the Neale Room on the first floor has its own cozy sauna. Both the Hadley Room and the Neale Room have working fireplaces for those looking to add a special romantic touch to their vacation. Every room at the inn is named after previous owners of the home. |
