Let us serve you a gourmet breakfast each morning
Before breakfast, we offer our guests an early coffee and tea service for early risers to enjoy in front of the fireplace in our living room or take back to their guest rooms. Later in the Dining Room, a full gourmet breakfast is served beginning with either home-baked Pumpkin-Walnut, Banana-Coconut, or Rhubarb-Honey Ginger breads. Other starters may be Apricot-Orange or Raisin Scones, Buttonwood Donut Muffins, Maple Cinnamon Rolls, Blueberry-Walnut Crumb Coffee Cake, warm Fruit Crisp with Granola topping, or a cool fresh Fruit Salad with Raspberry Sauce topping. Savory entrees may include a Mushroom-Sausage and Cheddar Cheese Strata, Sun-Dried Tomato with Mozzarella and Parmesan Cheeses Baked Omelet, Eggs Benedict with Canadian Bacon and Spinach, or Scrambled Eggs with Goat Cheese and Chives with Roasted Red Bliss Rosemary Potatoes on the side. Sweet entrees may either be a Baked French Toast Casserole with Pecan and Wild Maine Blueberry Topping, “lighter than air” Yeasted Belgian Waffles, or Banana-Pecan, Pumpkin, Apple, or Buttermilk Lemon-Scented Pancakes with Blueberry Sauce or our award-winning NH maple syrup. We also serve either thick-sliced bacon or sausage on the side. All of our foods are prepared fresh with local New Hampshire products and we serve award-winning maple syrup purchased from Fullers Sugarhouse in Lancaster, NH. Note that most entrees can be modified for gluten-free or vegetarian diets.

We have retained the country character throughout our 1820s farmhouse with wide pine floors, period stenciling, antiques, and local artists' works. In the cooler months, afternoon tea can be sipped in front of the fire in either our large, but intimate, living room or the more casual ambience of our family room (Mt. Surprise Room). The Mt. Surprise Room is equipped with a bar area, guest refrigerator, TV/VCR/DVD, extensive movie collection, computer with internet access, games, books, and magazines.

Bill is always happy to help you plan your day, offer insights into the area, and share the local way of getting from here to there. Relax at the Inn with your favorite book. You can watch outside for the appearance of deer, wild turkeys, moose, hawks, or hummingbirds. You can also enjoy the outdoor recreation and area activities available in Mt. Washington Valley. Paula prepares all of our fare with fresh with local New Hampshire products and we serve award-winning maple syrup purchased from Fullers Sugarhouse in Lancaster, NH. Corner room with custom designed and built queen bed, private shower bath, gas fireplace with sitting area has beautiful views of Bartlett Mountain, Merriman State Forest, and perrenial gardens; also overlooks the backyard heated pool and hot tub area.

Room 10 spoil yourself
Our largest room features a gas fireplace, sitting area with a fold-out loveseat for third person and TV/DVD, and cherry furniture with a four-poster queen bed. The large bathroom has a two-person jacuzzi (robes provided) and shower. This room is also wheelchair accessible with its own outdoor access to the parking lot and looks out onto the front perennial gardens.

Room has a king bed that can be changed to twin beds with a private shower bath which overlooks the Merriman State Forest. This room features a mural of how the inn may have looked in the 1820s, custom designed and built armoire, and period stenciling on the wide pine floor.

With views of the forest and Moat mountains in winter this lovely room with a queen bed has a custom designed and built bed and armoire, wide pine flooring, and private shower bath.

Room 4 maintains our country inn tradition
One of our larger rooms with a queen bed, antique sink, and wide pine floor with views of Merriman State Forest and the Moat Mountains with its own large private tub & shower bath two steps across the hall (robes provided).

Room 5 - stretch out on a King enjoy the views
Large sunny room that can be combined with Room 4 for a family suite which can sleep four with views of our front perennial gardens, Merriman State Forest, and the Moat Mountains. It features a king bed that can be made into two twins with its own private shower bath a few steps down the hall (robes provided).

Room 6 - delight in the views to the forest/mounta
One of the largest rooms in the inn which extends from the front to the back and overlooks the perrenial gardens, Bartlett Mountain, heated pool, and hot tub. Room features a custom designed and built queen bed and armoire, sitting area, TV/DVD, and trundle day bed. The large private bathroom has a double window with a mountain view and a clawfoot tub/shower.

Room 7 - watch the clouds from your bed
The handpainted ceiling is covered with clouds while the foot of the bed reveals haindpainted lupines on the wall. A double size room with a queen bed and private tub & shower bath overlooking the perennial gardens and forest to the South and Bartlett Mountain, perrenial gardens, heated pool, and hot tub to the North. The garden mural and sitting area with TV/DVD complement the "sky" ceiling.

Large sunny room with a queen bed, private tub & shower bath, and sitting area overlooking Bartlett Mountain, perrenial gardens, heated pool, and hot tub to the North and Black Cap Mountain to the South. Decorated in a delicate floral wallpaper, embroidered bedspread and shams, and features a wide pine floor.

Large sunny room with a queen bed, twin Murphy bed (which is closed up in the wall when not in use), and private tub & shower bath overlooking perennial gardens, Merriman State Forest, and Black Cap Mountain. Decorated with pale yellow and white striped wallpaper and features a wide pine floor.
