Nevada Information
With its largest employer being the tourism industry, Nevada, also known as the Silver State, has really got hospitality down. Choose from the wide selection of B&Bs, cabins, lodges, and inns near your favorite Nevada activities, including golfing, shopping, skiing, spas, biking, climbing, hiking, mining, off-roading, tours, cruises, water sports, museums, and the list goes on.
Some must-see Nevada cities include Alamo, Amargosa Valley, Austin, Baker, Boulder City, Carson City, Dayton, Elko, Fallon, Gardnerville, Lake Tahoe, Las Vegas, Pioche, Silver Springs, and Wellington. Nevada has incredible state and national parks that are definitely worth seeing. Nevada's largest national park is Great Basin National Park and is found on the eastern side of the state. Great Basin National Park has countless natural riches, like its alpine lakes, limestone caverns, and even a small glacier! In the west resides Lake Tahoe State Park, which has tons of different places for guests to enjoy, like Sand Harbor (which has sandy beaches, picnicking and more), and Cave Rock (which is a great spot for boat launching and fishing).
And of course there’s Las Vegas. One of the liveliest cities in perhaps the world, Las Vegas abounds with hotels, spas, casinos, golf courses, restaurants, theaters, and more – a vacationer’s dream in the form of a city! With so many recreational opportunities, it might be difficult to pick what to do in your time there.
If you're contemplating whether Nevada is family friendly enough, contemplate no further. Nevada is filled with theme parks, aquariums, miniature golf, zoos, and so much more.
