The Blue Winged Olive, An Angler's Bed & Breakfast is located on ten acres in the heart of fly fishing country we are surrounded by the snow capped Absaroka mountains, the Gallatin Range and the Crazy Mountains.

The Livingston area is famous as a fly fishing mecca drawing fishers from around the world. Armstrong, DePuy, and Nelson spring creeks in Paradise Valley are legendary. The Yellowstone River flows through Paradise Valley out of Yellowstone National Park, located 50 miles south of us. Fly fishers who like to wade or drift will delight in catching trophy trout--rainbows, browns and cutthroats.

The Blue Winged Olive offers magnificent views, fabulous breakfasts, and we're known for comfortable beds. Fly fishing is spoken here. We offer fly fishing services such as arranging for guides, float trips and rod reservations on private waters.

We've served fishers from around the world for well over a decade. Many of our guests return every year enjoying our exceptional hospitality, service and knowledge of fishing the area.

We are renowned for our coffee and breakfasts. Freshly ground and brewed coffee served by 6:30 am in the great room for early risers. Full ranch style buffet breakfast served by 7:30 am, offering mostly organically raised fresh foods, including fresh fruit compote, pancakes, French toast, casseroles, cheese pies, eggs Benedict, freshly baked biscuits, corn muffins, etc.

Check In Policy:
After 4 pm. For late arrivals, we leave a note on the front door for which rooms are yours.
Check Out Policy:
We appreciate guests checking out by 10:30 am.
Cancellation Policy:
Cancellation fee $20. Balance of deposit is only refundable up to 45 days prior to sstay. Within 45 days, deposit less cancellation fee will be refunded if we are able to rebook your reservation. Cancellations made within 7 days of stay will incur full charge of total reservation. It is almost impossible due to airline policies to rebook cancellations withing that time frame. We recommend purchase of trip insurance if this is a concern.
Children: Children ages 9+
While we do not have a policy excluding children, because of the nature of our activities we do not recommend children under the age at which they are able to fish and join table conversation in an appropriate manner.

Deposit Policy:
A 50% deposit is required at time of booking reservation. Rod fees are payable by check only.
Pets Welcome
Kenneled dogs are allowed on an individually requested basis. This must be approved in advance. We board horses.
Pets Living At Inn: Yes
One exceptionally bright Jack Russell/Border Collie mix. Three horses.
Smoking: Outside
All rooms have outside decks. Smoking is allowed and ash buckets are provided. Absolutely no smoking allowed in the B&B.
