Lafayette Manor is located in south-west Missouri---just a few seconds off Historical Route 66----in the heart of the Ozarks. This charming Plantation styled Bed & Breakfast will instantly remind you of southern elegance.
This six acre, professionally landscaped estate offers its patrons an array of special features that are sure to delight even the most discriminating guests. The grounds include: beautiful towering oak trees, scores of rose bushes and other exotic greenery, a three tier fountain, an in-ground pool (opened seasonally) and pool house, Jacuzzi, large patio, a gazebo, with two swings, a gold fish pond with water fall, as well as a one acre stocked pond (fishing is allowed). It is a most picturesque setting!
Inside the home, you will discover: nearly 8,000 square feet of exquisite living space, six spacious rooms (each with its own bathroom), six fireplaces, a foyer with marble floor, heavy crown molding throughout, a second floor balcony (overlooking the pool), twin curved staircases leading to the second floor, a chandelier (imported from Italy), plush carpeting, a billiards room, a sun room, an exercise room (free weights, Bow Flex, treadmill, Ab-lounge, Nordic Track and lots of mirrors), a laundry facility, etc.
You will fall in love with Lafayette Manor!
Breakfast will be provided at the Route 66 Diner (a short drive from the B&B). The Diner is a theme restaurant......once there, you will think you are back in the 1950s. The stainless steel exterior is complimented by ribbons of neon lighting. The interior is absolute nostalgia; the servers wear saddle shoes, bobby socks, puddle skirts, or other vintage outfits. There is a long eating bar with chrome stools as well as private booths. And there's 1950s music playing non-stop from a genuine Rock Ola Juke box. As for the food......it's simply the best breakfast place in the area. The menu, the portions, and the service will definitely remind you of yester year.
