From the first glimpse of the Walnut Street Inn Bed and Breakfast, Springfield's only "Boutique Hotel", you begin to feel its charm, and personality. Hand-painted Corinthian columns frame a wide, airy veranda with an inviting porch swing. Walnut Street Inn Bed and Breakfast is an urban oasis for our guests, the owners Gary and Paula Blankenship, and the staff. It is in a Nationally Registered Historic District, one block off historic Route 66, and within walking distance to gift shops, fine dining, a health club, Hammons Field (home of the MSU Bears and our AA professional team, the Springfield Cardinals!), the Springfield Exposition Center, theatres, plays, concerts and symphony performances at the Juanita K. Hammons Hall for the Performing.

While the guestrooms are decorated with the mellow warmth of antiques, every imaginable modern amenity is unobtrusively tucked away to create an elegant, but comfortable environment. The guest-oriented service begins with your phone call (or easy on-line reservation page found here) to reserve a room. Each of our distinctive guest rooms has a private bath, queen or king bed, two line telephone, and cable television with over 67 channels. Check-in: 2:00 PM - 8:00 PM. If arriving outside of check-in times, please call to make arrangements.
Check Out Policy:
Check-out: Before 11:00 AM.
Cancellation Policy:
If your travel plans change and you must cancel your reservation, please call us at least 14 (fourteen) days* prior to your arrival date to cancel your reservation. In the unlikely event that you must cancel with less than fourteen (14) days* notice, shorten your stay or check out early, please understand that we must ask you to take responsibility for payment for the first night or 1/2 of the cost for reservations longer than three nights. If we can rebook your room(s), a full or partial refund may be made. A 60 day* cancellation notice is required on parties taking 5 rooms or more, whole house bookings and for some holidays and special events.

No Pets Allowed
No Pets. Please call for help in making arrangements to board your pet locally. We have a wonderful "Doggy Spa" just a few blocks away that is a full service groomer as well. Why not let your pet spend a day at this wonderful kennel while you relax at the Inn?
Smoking: Outside
Absolutely No Smoking inside; however designated outdoor smoking areas are available. Guests who disregard our policy and smoke in the rooms will be charged one additional night for "airing out time" plus appropriate dry cleaning charges for curtains and bed linens.
