White Cliff Manor is truly a gem. It has been beautifully restored and thoughtfully furnished by the owner. Beds and pillows are very comfy and it is amazing how the owner managed to provide every modern convenience for his guests in this historic home. Breakfast was wonderful and our host was very helpful in providing us with history about the home and St. Genevieve. We could not have been more impressed. Looking forward to a return visit.

This is one of the best B&B we have ever had the pleasure of staying. Brian was not only a great host and superb cook but he was a fascinating historian. We felt like we had gained a friend during our stay and one can never have enough of those. We look forward to staying there again

As part of a Fall "see-the-colors" vacation, we decided to incorporate a bed and breakfast stay as part of our experience. Our choice of White Cliff Manor Bed and Breakfast and Gardens was definitely a good one, as it is worthy of 5 Stars! It was truly outstanding. Innkeeper Brian Helms is a detail-oriented person and it definitely shows in his painstaking restoration of the historic 19th century Louis Schaaf house, and the level of service that he and his staff provide to guests. A very relaxing touch for guests is coffee served each morning at 7:30. Weather permitting, you can sit on the deck at the back of the house and enjoy the sights and sounds of early morning, while leisurely chatting with other guests. Precisely at 8:30 (9 a.m. on weekends)the breakfast bell rings, then you move into the dining room for an exquisite meal like you would find at the finest hotels and restaurants. This is a tribute to Brian's 30-plus years in the hospitality business. Everything is fresh, bought from local farmers or markets, and complimented with fresh fruit, according to what is in season. After breakfast, the gracious host shares his extensive knowledge of the area as well as the Schaaf family, which he has researched extensively. The bedrooms are spacious and tastefully decorated, each bearing the name of a Schaaf family member, and reflecting some aspect of their personalities. From the upstairs balcony and the downstairs front porch, there are spectacular views of the bluffs overlooking the Mississippi River, and surrounding farmlands. The manor's grounds are meticulously maintained and dotted with numerous colorful flowers. Overall, this was a marvelous experience and it vastly exceeded our expectations. We anticipate a return visit next "leaf season."

If you love high Victorian elegance without the frou-frou this is a perfect experience. We were looking for a quick mid-week get-away to celebrate a special birthday. We were completely charmed by the restoration of this grand old home. Impeccably clean, beautiful bed linens and an attentive owner whose years of experience as an executive in the hospitality industry shows! You won't be disappointed.

This is an amazing B&B. I have actually stayed here a few times and my husband and I were married on the grounds in October of 2010, We had a formal sit down dinner reception inside the manor. In regards to just staying a weekend. Brian made sure that all of our needs were met. The rooms are impeccably clean and the entire house is decorated beautifully in period decor that Brian has painstakingly tried to match to the original color formats of the house. He is happy to spend the time and go through the history of the house and the area. Breakfast was light and delicious and the grounds were so relaxing and comforting to wander around on. Our wedding was perfect. Brian will give you all his talents in wedding planning and origination. The communication and organization put my mind at ease. He was able to organize and plan things that had not even occurred to me. Brian was able to plan a three day event with his manor full of my guests and take care of all the details of each event. I didn't have to worry about a thing on my wedding day. My reception dinner was outstanding. Brian had helped us pick out wines and plan the courses. All of the food was amazing, perfectly paired with the wines and my guest were so impressed with the level of service during the reception. The Wedding brunch the next morning was very special and delicious and was the perfect close to my wedding weekend. I had ordered flowers for the aisle area outside but only ordered minimal flowers for the tables etc. inside. White Cliff is so beautiful on the inside that i wasn't forced to "dress it up" like i would have had to do at a typical banquet hall. The price for planning the wedding, the food and event coordinations and accommodations is an unbelievable value. I did not get just a wedding day, i received a whole weekend of memories for a fraction of the cost of a traditional wedding. The elegance and accommodations that were delivered made my special day one that was perfect and one that I will never forget.

My husband and I stayed at White Cliff Manor over our anniversary weekend. It was the first time we had ever stayed in a bed and breakfast and we were delighted! Brian, the owner and Innkeeper, was spectacular! Wonderful hospitality, great food, and good company! We enjoyed the history of the home as well as the beauty of the grounds! Also loved the location- perfect for day trips to the vineyards! I would love to go back for another visit and recommend this BnB to everyone!
