The southwestern theme blends artwork, furniture and pottery from Mexico, the American West, and Native-America at the Su Casa Bed & Breakfast in Kansas City, Missouri. The generous breakfasts at Su Casa are quite an experience. Served family style, breakfast includes fruit, several hot entrees, meats, and baked goods ranging from country style to gourmet. The innkeeper willingly accommodates various food allergies and preferences. For those who enjoy sleeping late, just notify the innkeeper if you do not wish to have breakfast.
If you’re looking for things to do around the inn we invite you to experience our cool, comfortable, in-home movie theater where you can view both recent and classic movies with surround sound and even practice karaoke, if you choose. (Your room also has either a DVD or VCR.). Your can also enjoy beach, biking and hiking trails, boating and people watching at nearby Longview Lake. We loved it there so much that we will be staying there again in the future. The owner is super awesome and she is the best cook. Everyone should stay at Su Casa. You will not be disappointed.

I can't say enough about this place! As a Kansas City native, I was AMAZED at how quiet and "country like" this bed and breakfast was... and it's in the city! The food is wonderful (and filling!), the grounds were beautiful, and the rooms were amazing! We stayed in the Cancun Room for our 5th anniversary in early February. It was cold, but the inn was nice and cozy, especially our room with the fireplace! The bed was SO much more comfy than those lousy hotel beds... even more comfy than my pillow-top at home. The Spa Room was freezing cold (since it really isn't a heated room) but the hot tub cured that! The breakfasts were plentiful and indulgent! Lois, the Innkeeper is awesome! She's so sweet and accommodating, even for picky tastes like my husband and I have. She bakes fresh cookies for her guests and is ALWAYS willing to give you directions to the nearby attractions. She even participates in a dog rescue, which is always a great thing in my book. Her puppies, goats, and horses are adorable and very friendly. The prices are fair, but a little expensive for our pockets... but it was totally worth it. If you want a cool place to go for a weekend, anniversary, birthday, or whatever, definitely splurge! All in all, we WILL be going back, as this place was magnificent.

Me and my husband went on his RnR, for our honey moon! I could not ask for a better experience at a bed and breakfast. This was our first time and we will be back! It was so close to everything and anything you could want to do in KC. The price was right now for our stay and the hospitality was great! She makes outstanding breakfast every morning, and for not being a morning person I sure was up to eat! The view was outstanding. I do not think we could have asked for a better visit in general with everything! Thanks again Lois!

My daughters, granddaughters and I stayed at Su Casa while at a gals outing to KC. We all agreed it was the perfect place to stay. Lois is a marvelous inkeeper - very friendly, interesting and enthusiasticlly knowledgable of the KC are - as well as a great cook. The amenities here are outstanding. We enjoyed the hot tub and jet tubs in the rooms; had a fun movie night with lots of great choices available; great snacks and drinks; a peaceful night of quiet sleep then a scrumptous breakfast. We especially enjoyed the animals and the opportunity to interact with them and fell in love with Lois's dogs and the foster dogs we met. Lois is a special lady, doing great work helping find homes for these foster dogs. We all agree -- we want to return!

Once arriving to Su Casa, Lois welcomed us with open arms. She gave us a tour of the property, including the indoor movie theater and beautiful pool. Our room (Santa Fe Room) was very nice. The bed was comfortable and the bathtub/ jacuzi was amazing. The breakfast the next morning was tailored to all of the guests recommendations and the food was unbeatable. I would recommend Su Casa to anyone and everyone looking for a great bed and breakfast. Thanks Lois

Su Casa, in a rural setting within the city limits of Kansas City, MO, was an oasis on our return trip from Boulder to Philadelphia. Lois Hoover extended personal hospitality, ensuring that directions were accurate and orienting her guests to the amenities she offers—including a lovely pool, personal decks, a home theater with an excellent stock of movies, a refrigerator and snacks for her guests. She greeted us and our dog with a plate of cookies, and immediately showed us to the pet yard which was clean and accessible. At the same time, we had plenty of privacy and quiet. We were pleasantly surprised by the animals in fenced areas around the yard, not only horses and dogs (which we expected), but goats, a llama and geese. Our home-cooked breakfast was delicious, punctual and a welcome change from the cold cereal of breakfast buffets at chain hotels. We look forward to visiting again, maybe without the dog, to take advantage of the cultural and historical offerings in Kansas City.

This is the b&b to stay at, heaven on earth. Lois is so friendly. Her place is clean and welcoming. And boy can she cook a mean breakfast. We had the time of our lives and plan on going back yearly. The amneties of this b&b are beyond believe, pool,theater room, hot tub and so much more. We choose the Cancun Room, it was absolutely beautiful. Lois if one of the nice people you will meet, She make you feel like her home is your home.

My husband and I spent 3 nights at Su Casa in the Cancun Room. We mainly went to Kansas City to attend a concert. We ended up having a wonderful time in the area. There were so many things to see and do in Kansas City that we wish that we could have stayed longer. Su Casa was wonderful. Lois is a very friendly and accomodating Innkeeper. It was so nice meeting her. We also enjoyed wandering around the property and getting to interact with all of her animals. The breakfasts were delicious! We can't wait to stay at Su Casa again in the future.

We reented all three suites for a family get together. Wichita and St. Louis meeing in the middle. Our goals was spend time in one place, not to tour around KC. This was a great choice because it offered a lot of space to be together out side of our sleeping quarters. We loved the pool! We brought St. Louis food for our Wichita realtives who miss it. thanks you for the Frig & dinning space. We played games, watched movies, sports events on the big screen in the theater! It was a prefect blend of private and shared space. We don't stay anywhere we cannot take our beloved pets. They were very comfortable and the "dog bridge" was a well planed benefit. We will stay again on our next "meet in the middl trip". Thank you Lois the breakfasts were great! It even got the "teenagers" out of bed. The Decor was very well carried out thourgh out the "resort"!
