What a unique experience it far surpassed our expectations. We would recommend the murder mystery for a fun weekend. The food was unbelievably delicious. |

The hosts, Rick and Diane, work very hard to make you feel welcome. It is a wonderful old home that Rick lavishes with his time and attention. I'm not sure how he manages to do it all and still whip up a killer breakfast! Very comfortable, exactly what the bed and breakfast experience is supposed to be. |

Check this place out for a B&B experience you'll never forget! Great food (brownies, eggs, coffee cake, you name it), conversation, cleanliness & hospitality / a very comfortable place to stay |

Very accomodating host...we arrived via train with 4 people/4 bikes, our train was 1 hour late, but Rick was there waiting at 930pm and transported us the mile or so to his property. Breakfasts were amazing! Could relax there just like you do at home. Lively conversation with Rick and other guests! |

I have been to Birk's several times and enjoy each return visit. Birk's is definitely a place I like to stay and the Innkeeper's go a long way to make it a great experience. |

It was a wonderful b&b, the hospitality was great, as was the food and location, right in the heart of wine country Hermann, Missouri. |

The host was fantastic. He picked us up from the KATY trail and repaired my bike tire which was flat and replaced the tire with one of his own at no charge. He made a great breakfast and the house was very well kept and clean. |

What a beautiful old Victorian mansion! Rick was a wonderful host. He provided us with a map of the town and recommendations on restaurants for dinner. He baked brownies for an evening snack, and served them up with vanilla ice cream and chocolate sauce, yum!! Breakfast was outstanding, and he even made breakfast early for us. We were anxious to "get on the road" as we had a long day ahead of us. We had a wonderful stay! |

My wife and I stayed at Birk's Gasthaus. I highly recommend it. We had a great time there. It was clean and very comfortable. Not "too girlie" like some B&B's. Rick was a great cook and a fun guy to be around. Breakfast was soufle with maple sausage one day and crepes with ham the next. Mmmmmm! Pleanty to eat. Also Rick made brownies one night and cheesecake the next. Rick was very helpful with the bike also. He even loaned us equipment in case we got a flat on trhe trail. I plan to stay there again and ride the Katy from Treloar to McKittrick. |

I could not have been happier with the accomdations. The hosts were thoughtful and helpful. They definitely went the extra mile to help our family reunion be a great experience. I loved the space available from the porch, to the breakfast/living area to my spacious room with tall windows. Scrumptious breakfasts served promptly. Tremendous value for your money. |
