Formerly known as Birk's Gasthaus the Herzog Mansion is a comfortable old Victorian Mansion, built in 1886. Only three blocks away from Stone Hill Winery and Vintage Restaurant. We are walking distance to down town Hermann, where you can explore during your stay. Deutschheim State Historic Site (0.50 mile North), Downtown Historic District (0.50 miles north). Service by the Trolley; Amtrak is approximately 1 mile away. We offer complimentary pick-up from Amtrak and Katy Trail with prior arrangement.

With some period furniture in the formal ladies parlor, and claw foot tubs in most rooms (some with showers), 8 foot doors and transoms, the Mansion is again being used to entertain guests. We have added a Game Room with a 50" Plasma TV, Poker Table, and a full size Pool Table. Or you can relax on our wraparound covered Verandah and enjoy our quiet location. Only three blocks from the Stone Hill Winery and Vintage Restaurant.

What a unique experience it far surpassed our expectations. We would recommend the murder mystery for a fun weekend. The food was unbelievably delicious.

It was very pleasant, reasonable, and the breakfasts were fabulous.

Don't miss Birk's. Very hospitable. Made us feel very welcome and special. Recommended.

The hosts, Rick and Diane, work very hard to make you feel welcome. It is a wonderful old home that Rick lavishes with his time and attention. I'm not sure how he manages to do it all and still whip up a killer breakfast! Very comfortable, exactly what the bed and breakfast experience is supposed to be.

Birk's is a terrific B&B. We strongly recommend a stay there.

Check this place out for a B&B experience you'll never forget! Great food (brownies, eggs, coffee cake, you name it), conversation, cleanliness & hospitality / a very comfortable place to stay

Very accomodating host...we arrived via train with 4 people/4 bikes, our train was 1 hour late, but Rick was there waiting at 930pm and transported us the mile or so to his property. Breakfasts were amazing! Could relax there just like you do at home. Lively conversation with Rick and other guests!

Go hungry! The food is fabulous - some of the best I've had at any B&B!

A must see B&B if you are traveling through Missouri Wine Country.
