Welcome to the Grand Avenue Bed and Breakfast in Carthage, Missouri, a lovely Victorian town situated on historic Route 66. Here, brothers fought the first land battle of the Civil War and mined stone that became the wealth used to build the grand houses standing today as testament to an age gone by. Once able to boast the highest number of millionaires per capita in the U. S., Carthage retains a heritage of historic homes on Maple-lined avenues. Enjoy one of our Murder Mysteries where you and your friends can take a vacation and act out a great murder mystery all in the convenience of our home. Visit the Civil War Museum and Battlefield or catch the flavor of our historic square. There is always something to do in historic Carthage.
Our guest rooms are appointed with your comfort and convenience in mind. Amenities include private bathrooms, free wi-fi, cable HDTV/DVD/VCR, coffee service, and deadbolt locks. We have a laptop available for guest use and bike rental on premises. We also pay attention to the details. That attention earned us acceptance into the Bed and Breakfast Inns of Missouri - an organization of Bed & Breakfasts that only accepts full members after a rigorous inspection process. We insist on the freshest ingredients and generous portions. Our full breakfasts begin with a fruit and yogurt cup, coffee, and orange juice. Then, the main entree is served with fruit and breakfast sausage or bacon.

Please give us at least seven days notice of cancellation. No charge for cancellations seven days prior to your stay. There is a $20 cancellation fee for less than seven day notice. Please let us know if you will be arriving late. Cancellations on. day of arrival will be charged the full room rate.
