My husband and I wanted to go somewhere special for our anniversary- a place that would offer both nice,comfortable lodgings and a warm, relaxing environment. We could not have asked for a more perfect find in Nostalgic Place! The owners, Tom and Margot, made us feel so welcome and at home that we felt as if we were coming to stay with treasured friends. The food was outstanding, the room was beautiful, with a wonderful mix of old world charm and new world niceties, and the company was very friendly and entirely delightful :) Another, big plus for us was the incredible hiking trails and state parks that were with 20 mins driving distance. We started planning or next trip down before our bags were even unpacked :) I highly recommend Nostaglic Place to anyone and everyone as it has something to offer each person that walks through their doors!

i loved this bed and breakfast!tom and margo are great people and excellent cooks!my husband and i spent 2 nights and they were awesome.we scheduled a float trip,couples message and a carriage ride.plan to return thats for sure!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nostalgic Place is the best bed and breakfast I have ever stayed in, and I've stayed in at least 15 of them in the state of Missouri alone. The food is so delicious I literally moaned as I ate. We stayed in the suite and it was beautiful, comfortable and had the perfect temperature. The thread count on the sheets must be really high because they felt so soft. The special soaps they provide smell so great, I held them to my nose for a long time. The whirlpool tub is made for 2, but so large, it could easily fit 3. The towels and bathrobes provided were thick and luxurious. We were waited on like royalty. We had coffee delivered to us piping hot every morning upon awakening, cookies and flowers waiting for us in our room when we arrived, and all our meals were served at the exact time we requested. How they got all that food prepared at the perfect time and all perfectly hot is amazing. I highly recommend Nostalgic Place. Kathy Goughenour

I think this was the best B&B we have vever been to. The owners were very hospitable. They made us feel like family. The place was wonderful, very historic. All the amenities were exeptional and the food and bed were outstanding. Would definitely stay ther again.

Margot and Tom were great hosts! You feel like you are visiting friends or family when you stay at the Nostalgic Place. They remembered that our group drank a lot of tea on our first visit so she made sure to fill the kitchen with plenty of it for us without us having to ask! We had dinner there and they are AWESOME chefs! It was amazing. Breakfast is wonderful too. I have never stayed at a B&B before and they have certainly made the experience so great the we go back at least once a year!

Margot and Tom are absolutely the best hosts we could have asked for. The food was cooked to perfection, accomodations emaculate, the restored building and grounds have great history, which they shared with us. Our father grew up close to the bb and we all went to visit our family cemetery. It was very interesting to learn about the area. The hot tub was heavenly, large enough for our girl group and clean- They are friendly and are definitely in a business that they belong in.

This was our third time staying at Nostalgic Place. We just love it. Tom and Margot are absolutely great hosts and wonderful cooks. The cheesecake is to die for! We've asked for the recipe but Tom won't give up his secrets (ha, ha)! I originally planned a special surprise birthday get-a-way for my husband in November 2007. We loved our time there so much, we came back on New Years Eve and stayed and then again around our wedding anniversary in June 2008. We received a gift certificate for Christmas and are planning on returning very soon. We enjoy the area, the relaxation in the hot tub and our time together for a little romance and a chance to reconnect! I can't wait to go back. I recommended Nostalgic Place to a friend of mine who was looking for a birthday gift for a friend. I found out that she purchased a gift certificate. I hope they had as wonderful time as we did! Thank you for letting me brag on the Nostalgic Place B&B. We have nothing but wonderful memories and I recommend it to everyone!

It was our first stay together in a B&B. I had stayed in them before, but my husband had not. I think he was a little leary at first, but found the atmosphere much more relaxing and inviting than just any old hotel. Margot and Tom were great...easy to chat with and educated on the history of the Nostalgic Place. It was a very relaxing weekend.......10 months later we had a baby boy....we will never forget our stay becuase of that!

Nostalgic Place B and B is the most relaxing getway. My boyfriend and I went here for our first anniversary and had a wonderful time. Tom and Margot are so hospitalble. They make you feel like old friends from the moment you walk in the door until they wave goodbye. The food is excellent. It is made with love and careful attention. The breakfasts are not just the normal coffee and donuts but extends to omelets and homemade pancakes with hot maple syrup. The surroundings are peaceful and quiet. I know we will be returning many times.

I found this B&B on the internet, and I was just drawn to it...I wanted someplace nice to celebrate my girlfriends Birthday! I was not disappointed...Margot is WONDERFUL! I brought the champagne, Margot had rose petals out on the bed, and cake on a glass tray...My girlfriend broke down and cried as soon as she saw the room...PRICELESS! I highly recomend "Nostalgic Place"...You will love it!

This was the most amazing bed and breakfast experience!!! We stayed for our 21st anniversary, we usually try to go somewhere each year for a weekend by ourselves. It was historic, spotless, romantic, and the food was incredible!!! Tom and Margot made us feel right at home. Can't wait to go back.

Margot and Tom were the perfect hosts. My husband and I have stayed at B&B's for the last 5 years for our anniversary and Nostalgic Place has been the best so far. We usually try to keep to ourselves and do our own thing but one night we ended up staying up for a little while talking with Margot and Tom and had a great time. Our stay at Nostalgic Place Bed and Breakfast in Arcadia, MO was a special one. My wife and I were celebrating our 10-year wedding anniversary and it was our first B&B stay. I wanted this to be an amazing weekend for my wife, so I needed to find an amazing place. From the first time I talked to Margot on the phone, I knew that this was it. She and Tom were incredibly helpful with making my plans happen flawlessly. Everything was simply amazing. The room was beautiful, the food was delicious, and the service was incredibly above and beyond what I expected. We had a wonderful time and are anxiously awaiting our next stay at Nostalgic Place and the Arcadia Valley.

We cannot say enough about our stay at the Nostalgic Place. We are fortunate to have experienced so many of he amenities they offer, including a couple's massage in our suite, a picnic lunch, a bicycle ride, a carriage ride ... We most enjoyed the delicious dinners prepared by Margo and Tom and then dining with them. We felt like special guests that they welcomed into their home. We loved visiting with them. Also, the history of the area is so interesting and the grounds of Arcadia Academy are beautiful. We very much hope to return some time.

Our room was beautiful and very comfortable. The property the inn sits on is pretty and Margot will tell you all about its history.(Very Interesting!!!) The breakfast was amazing and I promise you won't leave the table hungry. I can't wait to go back and next time we will definatly use the hot tub. This is honestly the best B&B I've ever stayed in.
