Awaken to the aroma of our Nostalgic Place home prepared gourmet breakfast. You will be treated to attentive service in our meticulously restored dining area. Guest in the St. Francis suite can arrange for a private in room breakfast for an extra fee. Breakfast is highlighted with a special blend of coffee with fresh cream, or a variety of specially selected herbal teas, milk or ice water. Special Diet? Just let us know we will accommodate you to the best of our ability.

Cancellation Policy: |
October (full month), Holiday, Festival or Special Event Reservations
In order to receive a full refund of your deposit, we must be notified at least 20 days prior to your scheduled reservation.
Weekend Reservations (Friday or Saturday)
In order to receive a full refund of your deposit, we must be notified at least 14 days prior to your scheduled weekend reservation.
Weeknight Reservations (Sunday through Thursday)
In order to receive a full refund of your deposit, we must be notified at least 5 days prior to your scheduled reservation.
As a small Inn, we ask for your understanding of our need to receive ample notice of cancellations. If notification is not made by the required time, we will be unable to provide a refund of your room deposit unless we are able to rebook your room. Any payment for special services paid for in advance is non-refundable. If we are able to rebook your room, we will gladly refund your room deposit less a $25.00 service charge.
Additionally, if there are extenuating circumstances due to hospitalization or illness, please provide proof and we will refund your deposit, less the $25.00 service fee.

This is our favorite and only Bed and Breakfast we stay at. We have been visiting for the past 4 or 5 years and love it everytime. The company from Tom and Margot are outstanding. We always have amazing food and fellowship with these two. The B&B is in a very quiet area and so peaceful. We look forward to visiting year after year.

A truly memorable experience! The Crowells couldn't have been more accomodating. Loved the large open gathering room with amenities like cold drinks. We would definitely love to go again. Only suggestion would be fresh fruit at breakfast.

Unfortunately we were only able to spend one night at this exquisite inn. Located in Arcadia, Missouri--only 16 miles from our home in Farmington, Missouri--it was wonderful to find such a gem nearby. I'm sure many people attend for the many outdoor adventures available in the nearby parks and St. Francois mountains, but we sought only a quiet and beautiful place to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We stayed in the inn's only suite--beautifully furnished with reproduction pieces to the building's period and quite spacious. We took our meals in our room, lounged on our private porch and--of course--soaked in the whirlpool tub. The best feature of all was our opportunity to visit with the owners, Tom and Margot, because we were their only guests that evening. They are a delightful couple and, when talking with them, you can truly see their love for what they've created. Although my husband was a bit skeptical of celebrating at a bed & breakfast he, too, is eager to return. I highly recommend Nostalgic Place to everyone--from those seeking outdoor activities to those who just want a lovely getaway. You'll be warmly welcomed by Margot and Tom and you won't be disappointed with any aspect of your stay.

We loved this get-a-way! We are making plans to return to this BnB in the near future. We enjoyed everything about this weekend (except the rain). My husband selected this location and I was so surprised! Starting with the Inn and the food thru the knowledge of the local history and things to do, this was Great! Margot & Tom are well liked in the commumity and this was an added plus. Even the other guests were good to be around.We will be returning!

Couldn't ask for such a nice, clean,and great atmosphere to stay at!!! The hospitality was AWESOME. Tom and Margot are great people, very friendly !!! Cannot wait to visit and stay again !!! Food was delicious!

Me and a few girlfriends decided to come for a getaway and had a great time! The decor was cute and the bed was super comfortable. Tom and Margot were very friendly and the food was great and plentiful! You definately will not leave here hungry! We spent hours in the hot tub just relaxing. It was a great experience!

This night away was a surprise from my husband for our anniversary, and it truly was a nice break. Dinner was being cooked for us as we were arriving, and we enjoyed a couples massage the next morning in the private suite, all planned and thought out by my husband with the help of Tom and Margot. They go the extra mile to make it personal with their packages. The food was great, breakfast was more than you could want, I would recommend for anyone to stay, you don't need to leave, everything you want is right there for you!
