The Corners Mansion Inn

Macy Whitney and Joe Trahan recently purchased The Corners from Macy’s mother, Bettye Whitney who, with Macy’s father, Cliff, renovated this 135 year old home into the B&B present today. We invite you to visit us here in Vicksburg’s Historic Garden District. The Corners is a true Southern Mansion with the original parterre gardens and views of the Mississippi River. A sumptuous Southern Style breakfast is served with candles lit each morning in the dining room. It is only fitting that this warm and inviting home, The Corners, is today the setting for many wedding events, touring groups and corporate retreats. Built in 1873 as a wedding present, the classic Greek Revival style home now has 14 guest rooms and can sleep groups of up to 30 people. The Corners will cater brunches, luncheons, dinners and receptions which are served in the rear courtyard and gardens on fine linens and china. Room in the Galleries
This two story building was completed in early 1997 and was designed as a miniature replica of the original Main House. Each of the four suites boast a view of the Mississippi River, along with unique antique beds, Luscious linens and intimate seating areas. The bathroom whirlpool tubs offer rest and relaxation after long days of touring or gambling at the nearby sites.

The Quarters
Restored old quarters with large, airy bathroom and private gallery overlooking two level gardens. Separate from the main house, but attached. Each has queen-sized full canopied pencil post beds, hand made quilt, pine floors, fireplaces and private bathroom with 6 X 3 whirlpool tub

Master Bedroom Suite
Two bedrooms share a bath in the main house with floor to ceiling windows overlooking the Mississippi River valley in the distance.

Eastlake Bedroom
Overlooking the rear gardens, this room was the Gentleman's Parlor in the original house. Now furnished with Eastlake furniture from the late Victorian period, guests can enjoy their own bathroom and fireplace.
