WE MET ERIC ONE NITE ON BEALE ST. HE INTORUCED HIMSELF AND TOLD US ABOUT HIS BED AND BREAKFAST. FINALLY MY HUSBAND AND I DECIDED TO GO AND IT WAS THE ONE OF THE BEST WEEKEND GETAWAYS WE HAVE HAD. I HAVE BEEN TRYING TO GET BACK THERE FOR A YEAR NOW. WE'VE BEEN SO BUSY THAT WE HAVEN'T HAD THE TIME. ERIC IS A WONDERFUL HOST. I LOVED EVERYTHING ABOUT THE SASSAFRAS. HE WAS SWO GRACIOUS AND RESPECTABLE OF OUR PRIVACY. I TOLD EVERYONE AND I JUST SO SORRY THAT WE HAVEN'T HAD TIME TO GET BACK. MEETING ERIC WAS THE BEST THING THAT HAPPENED TO US WHILE ON BEALE ST.

Our stay at the Sassafras in was wonderful! My husband and I stayed there three nights for our honeymoon before he left for Iraq. It was very peaceful and enjoyable.

My wife and I were the only guests at this time. Our host, Eric, was fantastic. His southern hospitality was transplanted from the north. He gave us all the information we needed to make our trip to Memphis worthwhile. He even accompanied us one evening to Beale Street at our request. He was our personal DJ playing various types of blues and jazz as my wife and I enjoyed the indoor pool and jacuzzi. His special of staying two nights and getting the third free was a wonderful money saver. It is a place worth staying and is only 15 minutes from the toewn of Blues.

This was our honeymoon. It was the first time my husband or I had ever stayed in a Bed & Breakfast. We spent three nights in the Cottage out back of the inn. It is the most beautiful place and very, very clean. All the accommodations were more than adequate and everything we'd hoped for. Eric is a wonderful and gracious host that provided us a great breakfast at our door each morning with the utmost respect for our privacy. We will return on our next trip to the Memphis area. I have been raving about it ever since we got back...I didn't want to leave our little fairytale honeymoon cottage!

I stayed in the cottage outback and it was amazing. My husband is in the marine corps and we barely get time alone. This was perfect. The bed was so comfortable and the tub was really big. And eventhough it was cold we went into the hotub and it was great. Eric made an amazing breakfast and brought it to our door. He was extremely hospitable and helped us with everything we needed. I saw the rooms in the upstairs of the bed and breakfast and it was really nice but the cottage was definately my favorite. there was a mini fridge and plenty of other accomadations. It felt like a honeymoon for us. I would reccommend this place to everyone.....

Great place to stay. I would highly recommend this place to anyone. Eric went above and beyond to make our stay a pleasent one. The next time we are in that area, we willl definately return. We have told many friends they should also stay here.

Eric was an excellent host. He was more than willing to assist us in finding restaurants and evening attractions. He is extremely knowledgable in blues and jazz and has an extensive interest in music. Perfect for Memphis area.

Everything was wonderful. We thoroughly enjoyed the swimming in the indoor pool, relaxing in the hot tub, and also playing pool while watching sports on the big screen TV in the game room. Our room was very nice, and breakfast was great.

Sassafras Inn B&B was one of the highlights of our 5 week tour of US. Every aspect of the accommodation surpassed our expectations, in particular a very attentitive host. The rooms were very clean and the home was beautifully decorated which helped relax us after busy days driving and sightseeing. By far this accommodation was the best out of all 12 hotel accommodations we stayed in over the 5 weeks. We will remember this experience forever - thank you Eric.

This B & B was outstanding in every aspect. The accommodations were beautiful. I could not find one speck of dust in the entire house. The attached indoor pool / hot tub room was complete with a tropical garden. The innkeeper, Eric, was fantastic - great personality, very interesting, great cook, very hospitable, full of information regarding local attractions and eager to help us any way he good. It will be hard to find another B & B that can measure up to the Sassafras Inn in Hernando, MS.

I will not stay in another hotel! B&B are the way to go! I went with a group of girlfriends and Eric took wonderful care of us! He kept us well fed and well imformed! He had everything we needed in the rooms, all we should have packed was our makeup and clothes he had everything else! He treated us wonderful and showed us a great time at B.B. Kings! I will definetly be back whenever I can!

The owner Eric Hartung was wonderful. He made me feel like I was at home and went way above and beyond when I had trouble with my flight home. He actually drove me to the airport at 4:30 in the morning after preparing me a light breakfast. He and his establishment were wonderful!!

Great B&B - and wonderful proximity to Downtown Memphis without being in the middle of the city.
Eric took us when our reservations fell through at another inn and was extremely accommodating for the short notice.

I definitely felt right at home! I was able to have my privacy but the innkeeper was also right there if I needed anything. My stay was very relaxing and peaceful! I also felt very safe in the area but when I wanted to go out there where plenty attractions to attend. Over all I I felt like Sassafras Inn was a Home away from home. I will definitely go back!

It was the total package! The best place we have ever stayed. Super clean, Eric was really nice and gave his 110% , Food was outstanding, and the house and surroundings were so relaxing. We hope to come back someday.

This was a very cozy and peaceful get away. The innkeeper was terrific, very attentive. The breakfast was extraordinary and the seperate honeymoon cottage was very romantic and relaxing. A wonderful place to go and get away from your cares!
