The Aurora Staples Inn Bed and Breakfast is located in historic Stillwater, Minnesota and the beautiful St. Croix River. We are only 30 minutes from Minneapolis; the Aurora Staples Inn Bed & Breakfast is located just three blocks from the historic main street and is close to many antique shops, book stores, restaurants, the riverfront park, and the historic lift bridge. The B&B is elegantly decorated to reflect the Victorian era with a showcase parlor and book filled library with original wood burning fireplace.

We came with some accessability needs (wheelchair) and found the Aurora Staples Inn's Carriage House absolutely perfect for us. Come to think of it, we would also have thought it perfect if we were Olympic athletes. The charm and comfort of the the facility, the considerateness and hospitality of the owners, and the tastiness of the breakfast all made this one of our best B&B experiences ever.

This was our second stay at Aurora Staples Inn! We stayed last year on our honeymoon after our 10/13/07 wedding! So, this year we were celebrating one year of marriage! This is BY FAR the best Bed & Breakfast we've experienced! We really enjoy visiting Stillwater and having this B&B there makes the trip even MORE worth while, even though we're only about 30 miles away! Cathy & Jerry are the best innkeepers! They really go above and beyond to make you feel welcome and special while you are staying there! The Carriage House is where we have stayed both times and it is a wonderful house, private and relaxing! Each morning, they bring a tray of coffee right to your front door and then you join everyone in the main house for the most DELICIOUS breakfasts!
This time around, Cathy kept our wedding cake remake in their fridge and when we got home from dinner, brought it over with plates AND a bottle of wine on the house! It was such a nice surprise and made us feel so special! Their hospitality is truly, outstanding! Everyone should make a trip to stay at the Aurora Staples Inn, it is truly a wonderful experience you won't forget and you will leave wanting to come back time and time again!
Cathy & Jerry are true servants of God and they treat all of their guests with the love and compassion of Jesus Christ!
We will be returning to Aurora Staples Inn again and again and we recommend it to friends and family!

We were looking for a place to stay for a peaceful night away from home. We sure found it! Cathy greeted us with such a warm welcome, and our stay only continued to get better. Aurora Staples Inn is absolutely beautiful, the food is magnificent, and the hospitality is outstanding. You won’t be disappointed.

This is a wonderful inn with very comfortable accommodations, marvelous food, and a restful atmosphere that is such a lovely break from our normal hectics chedule. Our warm and friendly hosts made us feel so much at home that we relaxed immediately and had a wonderful 38th anniversary celebration there. We are so grateful for this place!
