Built in 1882, the lovingly restored Rivertown Inn is located three blocks above historic downtown Stillwater, Minnesota. Our mission is to make your stay with us the ultimate in luxury, privacy and romance. From the moment that you step inside this Victorian mansion, you will be surrounded by European-style elegance and outstanding levels of personal service.

Lovely gardens, trickling fountains, winding paths, intimate benches and ornate wrought iron gates provide a warm welcome hinting at the beauty found within Rivertown Inn. We are the largest bed and breakfast in Stillwater offering five suites and four bed chambers, including our two exquisite grand suites located in our separate carriage house. All guest quarters feature a private bath with a double whirlpool tub, gas fireplace, and sumptuous decor that pays homage to a famous romantic poet or literary figure of the 19th century.

We offer lavish chef-prepared breakfasts, and Sunday brunch with champagne. We have a social hour daily with complimentary wine and hors d'oeuvres. Last there is a self-service pantry 24 hours a day for ice, bottled water, coffee, baked goods, and chilled wine and champagne.

Check In Policy:
Check-in time is between 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm. If you will be arriving late, it is important that you notify us.
Check Out Policy:
Check out time is 12:00 pm. Please settle your account after breakfast and turn in your key to the innkeeper.
Cancellation Policy:
Cancellations made seven or more days from the date of reservation will be fully refunded. Guests who cancel six days or less from the date of reservation are responsible for the full payment of their room.
Children: Children ages 12+
We welcome children twelve years of age and older.
