Everything was wonderful! You could'nt ask for a better B&B. Michelle and Nels are great people and we will stay at The Country Hermitage Again.

The Country Hermitage is a beautiful B&B, tastefully decorated and kept immaculately clean. Even though it is a restored Victorian home, the B&B does not have that musky "old house" scent. The furnishings are beautiful and the rooms fresh, light, airy and inviting. The gourmet breakfasts are superb, and the innkeepers, Nels and Michelle, are a great young couple who have lovingly restored the inn. They're warm and gracious people, willing to go the extra mile to ensure a great visit. Their attention to detail is second to none that I have found - from the homemade cherry soap in out room to the chocolate-covered dried cherries in a Country Hermitage coffee mug that awaited us in our room as a special token as return guests. The location of the B&B is also terrific - it's situated on acres of land surrounded by cherry trees, with Grand Traverse Bay within view. I would not hesitate to recommend the Country Hermitage - we hope to visit again soon!

Our stay was outstanding all the way around. Of special note is that breakfast both days was sumptuous--blueberry pancakes, eggs, bacon, cherry crumble, parfait, grilled potatoes, even black beans--all excellent. The owners also provide a snack fridge stocked with soda, juices, and beer--all comlimentary!
