French for “without a worry” Sans Souci Inn & Cottages Bed & Breakfast is a privately managed nature retreat offering fifty acres of serenity in the heart of New Buffalo, New York. The inn is a perfect setting for a romantic getaway, an outdoor wedding or a family reunion. Our serene acres are nestled in the heart of Harbor Country, just three miles from New Buffalo and Three Oaks, and the Lake Michigan shoreline. Our two lakeside cottages, two vacation homes and two luxury suites are a delight for all seasons.

A sandy beach slopes gently into Lake Sans Souci, inviting for a quiet swim, or bring your tackle box to supplement dinner on the grill with fresh pan fish. In a mile-stroll around the lake a lonesome wanderer will pass our private vineyard, the Galien River Valley, whispering pines and vast wildflower meadows. Discover hammocks in hidden places, or a rocking chair in the terrace. Either might tempt you to get that book and return for some good old-fashioned relaxation. Think no less of a winter-wonderland when the trails invite for skiing and the lake for skating and ice fishing.

You need not leave your accommodation to enjoy the immense variety of our feathered friends. Bring your binoculars for a walk. Our Galien River Valley is a birdwatchers paradise. Warblers and woodland migrants arrive in early May, when our lake becomes a landing site for waterfowl. See a loon on its surprise visit. Families enjoy the grass court and basketball hoop. A crocket or horseshoe game can be set up on your own front lawn. The outdoor fireplace in the new terrace is always serviced; it is a well-likened spot for that tasty glass of local wine before bedtime.

Check in is from 4:00 to 8:00 Eastern Time. If you cannot arrive between these hours, please give us as much advance notice as possible so that we can accommodate you.
Check Out Policy:
Check out time is 12:00 noon Eastern Time. Late departure must be prearranged.
Cancellation Policy:
We return 1/2 of your down payment of the above plan if cancellation is made at least 2 weeks prior to arrival date. The remainder will be applied to your future visit within the year.
