The 1750 Inn at Sandwich is the by far the best B&B we have ever stayed in. The owners, Jan and Charlie, are outstanding, helpful and great to talk with. The inn itself is very clean and comfortable. The breakfasts and snacks are phenomenal. We can't wait to go back again, and again, and again...thanks Jan and Charlie for being such wonderful hosts! Best wishes, M & M.

It was our first trip to Cape Cod and we picked the Inn at Sandwich Center attracted by their room rates and the promise of a good breakfast. And boy we were glad that we did!
The Inn is located very conveniently smack in the middle of the city of Sandwich in a wonderfully refurbished house. Our room was light and airy and immaculately clean (and redone every day). The bed was extremely comfy, the toiletries were wonderful, the towels fluffy and great smelling, and the two terry cloth bathrobes beckoned us everyday to relax.
But the major surprise were the owners of the Inn--Jan and Charlie Preus. They happen to be some of the most charming, conscientious, and hospitable people one can meet! And they were extremely knowledgeable and helpful about all things Cape Cod.
We stayed for five days and every day we genuinely felt as if we were at home and really taken care of. Since we didn't have a car, Jan and Charlie often volunteered to bring us to our destinations and made our trip so much more enjoyable.
The breakfasts were delicious! Every morning Jan and Charlie cooked up a storm --homemade muffins, cookies, juices, omelets, sausages, fruit cups with yogurt and nuts, coffee, tea and whatnots--and all were served with a smile and good humor.
Their guests are great too, and every morning we met at the table new and interesting people, and lingered in pleasant conversation much longer than the allocated breakfast time.
We would definitely return and would highly recommend the Inn to every traveller to Cape Cod. So book early (Jan and Charlie have only five guest rooms) and you will be rewarded by an unforgettable experience of staying in a real B and B!

This has to be one of the absolute best values in B&B stay. Jan & Charlie (the owners) are in a word... Fabulous. First off, the home is perfect - not too big, not too small. A plesant living room to read or play board games at night (of which we did both), very clean and elegent bedrooms/bathrooms (these are not teeny-tiny bathrooms either, unlike some other B&B inns), and a beautiful dining room make your stay very comfortable.
But what makes this place the best are Jan & Charlie - they go out of their way to make you feel welcome and treat you like THEIR guests, not just customers. Both SERVE you a large and delicious made-from-scratch breakfast (no simple buffet here!), some Port & Brandy is set out at night for some after-dinner warmness along with cookies, and they'll gladly call up reservations for you. It was our anniversary duing our 3-night stay, and they got us reservations at a nice restaurant and made sure the managers knew it was our special night.
On top of the Inn, Sandwich is a very enjoyable, relaxing town to stay in. It's not as busy as some of the other places, but in my opinion a better place to stay. You can drive over to the busier towns during the stay and let this Inn pamper you at night. Don't get me wrong though - Sandwich has some interesting things to do as well. I would whole-heartedly recommend staying here, and would come back again next time I was in Cape Cod.

The Inn at Sandwich Center is the place to be for relaxation and hospitality. Innkeepers Jan and Charlie are a delight...so friendly and helpful with local attractions and suggestions, even down to making dinner reservations for my wife and I. They made us feel right at home. Their breakfasts are as rich as the area is with history. Jan even went out of her way to share an especially delicious recipe(Charlie's favorite) with my wife. The Inn is beautifully appointed and nestled next to the historic village of Sandwich. Walking around town from the Inn is a pleasure and a must. We did it several times. Our stay was much too short and we can't wait to visit again!

This is why people love Cape Cod! Jan and Charlie were exceptional innkeepers. They put me in touch with a local cake maker for my son's graduation, that turned out to be completely wonderful experience. Their hospitality, home-cooking and the beauty of their inn should not be missed. I'll certainly visit again.

A beautiful home, superbly decorated and maintained. The guest accommodation was very, very comfortable. The breakfasts were beautifully presented - and it was a great joy to have breakfast in the garden. The cookies, coffee and drinks always available in the afternoon and evening were a delight. Above all, the Innkeepers Jan and Charlie were superb, nothing was too much trouble and they were truly attentive to all their guests needs. They were both very happy to recommend places to visit and eat, and would always be happy to book you a table ! I cannot recommend the Inn at Sandwich too highly and we would certainly stay there again if we holiday in the area.

Located in the center of the beautiful & historic Cape Cod town of Sandwich, MA, the Inn at Sandwich Center is a perfect spot to renew your soul. Inn-keepers Jan & Charlie run a lovely, meticulously restored Bed & Breakfast. Everything was top notch. From the scrumptious breakfasts, to the homemade chocolate chip cookies, to the warm "southern" hospitality, to the wonderfully adorned rooms, to the helpful site-seeing tips ..... we can't get back fast enough! Perfect!!
