The Centennial House Bed and Breakfast of Northfield, MA is everything you hoped a country inn would be. The B&B offers hospitality and location in one of Massachusetts’s oldest and most beautiful towns.
We welcome current and prospective students, parents and alumni of nearby independent schools, the Five College consortium (including the University of Massachusetts), Keene State College, the School for International Training and Marlboro College in Brattleboro and many other educational institutions. The many schools and colleges in the region produce a vitality and sophistication that rivals urban areas, but is softened by a slower pace and scenic beauty. Weekenders, vacationers and business travelers will find our location off Interstate 91 and near Route 2 convenient to attractions and restaurants.
The Centennial House Bed & Breakfast is a rambling 17-room estate built by master craftsmen in 1811, offering spacious rooms, private baths and architecture that will transport you back to nineteenth century New England.
You'll love our comfortable beds, private baths and ample country breakfasts with homemade baked goods. We're close to mountains and the Connecticut River, accessible in season by narrated cruise, canoe and kayak. Our guestrooms conveniently include single rooms and two-room suites for families and friends traveling together.

Cancellation Policy: |
14-day advance notice to receive deposit back less a $30 cancellation fee; longer advance notice applies for special event weekends and block bookings. Within the 14 days, we ask the prospective guest to understand that we will charge for the FULL reservation if cancelled as we have incurred costs in preparation for their visit. |

Massachusetts lodging establishments may not prohibit access by children, however, when choosing a place to stay with very young children, parents should inquire in person before making a reservation. A 200 year old property like ours has lots of staircases, room occupancy limits, cupboards and outlets that are not child-proof and expensive antiques that will be costly to replace if broken. Children under 6 MUST come with their own crib, all other children must sleep in a bed (no cots or sleeping bags) and all children must be under the direct supervision of their parents at all times. |
