Welcome the Apple Tree Inn Bed and Breakfast in Lenox, MA, a twenty-two acre hilltop estate in the Berkshire Mountains of western Massachusetts.

Prior to 1976 when it became the last and best known Alice's Restaurant, it was operated for many years as an inn called Avaloch. In 1979, Alice Brock and Arlo Guthrie gave up the business and in 1983 it became The Apple Tree Inn. Its location across the road from Tanglewood, the summer home of the Boston Symphony Orchestra, makes it especially attractive to music lovers.

The circular dining room affords year round panoramic views of the mountains and exceptional seasonal views. Many of the rooms have equally beautiful views and the view from the swimming pool is breathtaking.

A complimentary continental breakfast of house-made muffins, fresh fruit, cereal, juice, coffee and tea is served daily. Hot breakfast is available on weekends throughout the year and daily during peak season. Dinner is served Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights in July and August. Brunch is served on Sundays in July and August.

Cancellation Policy:
A minimum 30 days notice prior to your arrival date is needed to refund your deposit, less a $25 administration charge. We regret that we cannot make refunds on reservations canceled within 30 days of the arrival date, even in the event of medical or other emergencies. Guests who shorten their stay will be responsible for the total cost of the original reservation.

Deposit Policy:
To guarantee your reservation, a deposit of 50% is required for a stay of two or more nights. A 100% deposit is required for one-night stays. For reservations made less than two weeks in advance, rooms will be held only if this deposit is paid by credit card at the time of the reservation or outside of two weeks by check. Deposits on reservations made a month or more in advance must be paid by check. The balance at checkout may be paid by cash, check or credit card.
