October Mountain State Forest is just up the street, where you can even go hiking with llamas as your backpack companions.

On the other side of town is beautiful Laurel Lake Beach, which is available to guests in the warmer months. Golf is available right in town.

We serve a full, delicious breakfast every morning. Sit down to fresh fruits, homemade muffins and breads, and entrées such as our Di'Jonathan Eggs or blueberry pancakes.

Berkshires Breakfast Outside On The Porch
In warmer months enjoy breakfast on the large wicker furnished porch just off the Great Room or wander by the gardens that line the stonewalls.

In the fall, you can enjoy the picture post card scenery right from the Inn’s large porch, or hike and bike the many country roads. For the winter months, there is Butternut and Catamount ski areas just to the south, and Bousquet, Jiminy Peak, and Brodie Mountain to the north.

The Great Room
An imposing stone hearth complete with beehive oven welcomes you to the Great Room. Relax by the fire after a day of skiing or exploring the surrounding towns and countryside.

Rose Room
The generously sized guest rooms each have private baths and air conditioning, and they are tastefully furnished with antiques and reproductions. Each has its own personality and two have working fireplaces.

Sarah's Suite
Also known as the "honeymoon suite", is named for Jonathan’s wife and has a floral theme in its wallpaper and accessories. The large bedroom is full of light and features a king four poster bed. The sitting room under the eaves has a comfortable area to relax and a daybed perfect for a third person. Both of the rooms that comprise the Suite have private access to the full bathroom.

Tavern Room
The Tavern Room was named for its prior use during the 1830's, however today it is one of the Inn's more formal rooms. The room is decorated in silken wallpapers and the windows are framed by heavy fringed drapes. One of our largest rooms, it features a queen cannon-ball style bed and a comfortable sitting area that includes a daybed, which is perfect for a third person.
